Carl's whole existence is a middle finger to the 2nd movie. The reason "Bob" let himself be melted down was so Skynet could not be created. And yet Carl sticks around for years and Skynet never comes from it. So really Bob's sacrifice was not needed and one the best Terminator moments in the franchise is rendered utterly pointless.

Among those it predicted Battle Angel: Alita would only make like $20M domestically and only around $100M world wide. That movie ended up making over $80M Dom., and over $400M WW. Were there other movies that were expected to under perform in 2019 that actually did quite well?

Got to agree, Doctor Sleep is the only movie I've been to see at the cinema twice this year and then immediately started reading the book. I thought it reconciled the differences between King and Kubrick's The Shining's fantastically as it could have been such a mess trying to be a sequel to both. I'm hoping this one will be a slow burn with people and finally find it's audience.

I'm still gutted about The Kid Who Would Be King - I met the director for an interview about it in February and he was just the best, really nice to talk to and he clearly cared so much about the movie and put so much effort and heart into it (and I loved it! I got so mad when the people making Lion King 2019 said animating lions and making them expressive is impossible, but then you look at the early 2000’s Narnia movies and see Aslan and how expressive he is. Plus Donald Glover isn’t the greatest actor/voice actor.

The marketing for Doctor Sleep, to me, said: "wait for this one on Netflix (or whatever)." There seemed to be nothing about it that made me think I needed to see it in the theater vs waiting, but I want to see it. Some movies I see in the theater just to avoid spoilers online. You can tell what movies are going to be talked about a lot ahead of time, most of the time.

1000% Cats is a 'Producers' type situation. I mean come on, there's no way that those effects got through that many people and they all said; "yep, those are fine (and definitely not nightmare fuel) lets put that in cinemas"!

This is "Cats?" It looks more like an homage to John Candy in "Spaceballs!" For what Hellboy is, I thought the re-boot was fine. Wish some of the action were better-presented. I think directors, nowadays, think that CGI means they can be lazy about the action and that the computer geeks will somehow make it all better. Don't "suggest" action, when you have the means to SHOW action, in detail. But Ian McShane is good in everything he does, and the guy who played Hellboy was OK, although the straining voice was overdone. "PLEASE PASS THE _CEREAL_!!!!" Bring it down, some, son.

I forgot the hellboy remake was even a thing. All the trailers for that managed to do was get me to read the comics then forget about it. The comics are pretty good btw, should check them out if you can find copies.
