Honestly, I don't know how people were caught off guard on this ending as the first half of a two-parter. They ALREADY announced beforehand in the media that the two would be released months apart during the spring and fall of 2003; I even remember seeing the early teaser trailer for both movies early on as part of the previews for another movie, so I knew already it was going to be a two-parter. This movie and the second half may have had their problems, but they weren't bad at all either individually or collectively, and I'm NOT going to add being a two-parter to the list of shortcomings!!! Hell, seeing the two in theaters months apart marked an interesting point in my life, seeing the first half when I was 17 and the last half just after I turned 18, during which in-between I was really a young homeschooled cinephile building my own film collection, taking dual enrollment courses in preparation for college the year after, and even taking a 5-week summer filmmaking course for high-school students at NC-School of the Arts in Winston-Salem during that same year (before it became part of the UNC system). Honestly, HOW many people can YOU ask that had an experience like that!? I fondly remember these two as major movie events back then that became a major part in a transitional period in my life, and for whatever their problems, I would rather watch THESE two on the big screen again rather the vadt amounts of shit being churned out!!!

59:34 honestly, while more complicated, cloning Joe Pesci and raising him in a virtual environment with the real Joe Pesci’s memory is still more possible than time travel. So go with that.

Watched it off itv. Itv kept cutting stuff so it kept getting out of sync. Oh well. The movie sucked but the commentary is good

Not going to lie, I'm so thankful for you two. As a 34-year-old who has been going through a lot of hardships recently in life after losing a best friend unexpectedly, you all make me laugh so hard and has been such a blessing.

Gandalf in the book has a way easier time with the Witch King. He's a lesser being. They give it more tension for the movie, but I don't like it really.

I'd watch it just for Sophia Botella. That being said; I never saw it.

There's an interview with Don Dump's mom from around this time. He told his mom he was going to be in a Spielberg movie. Always lying.

The scale on that fish isn't off, it dragged Deagol out of the boat and then pulled him bodily even while he was compete submerged in the water. It's a big ass fish. Also, it's completely fine to watch the theatrical cut for the first two, but you gotta do the extended for the last one, if nothing else, so you can see Saruman bite it. It's not a complete story otherwise.

Don't the aliens choose to look like video game characters? They're not naturally q-bert? There is no q-bert DNA to overwrite josh gad's DNA. IF there is an alien womb, it was a choice to make them all look like q-berts. More than likely there is no alien womb and the alien just replicated some nonsense. It was either a crib full of tiny q-berts or a crib full of tiny sexy ladies.

In a later Home Alone film, Buzz has a brief appearance as a cop/security guard and he references Kevin who apparently got rich making McCallister brand home security systems. As I recall, it is the only remotely-clever part of the entire movie.

Actually people are encouraged to feed them bread and stuff again if you got it because not enough people where giving them seeds and they became so reliant of bread and people that alot of them ended up just starving to death so it's encouraged again
