I think the market has decided that Marvel Spotlight 5 is the biggest bronze age key.

Doesnt look like it. According to Gocollect.com comparing grade to grade sales… SPOTLIGHT 6.0 - $1,050 FMV 6.5 - $1,100 FMV 7.0 - $1,350 FMV 7.5 - $1,800 FMV 8.0 - $2,600 FMV 9.0 - $5,000 FMV HULK 181 6.0 - $2,450 FMV 6.5 - $2,500 FMV 7.0 - $3,200 FMV 7.5 - $3,800 FMV 8.0 - $4,500 FMV 9.0 - $6,750 FMV SPOTLIGHT beats it once it gets to a 9.6 but thats do to RARITY in that Grade cause its a little older and all black spine. Thats not necessarily most sought after, and volume of sales, or popularity. 181 sells for more, and more frequently. Respectfully disagree 🫡

The most exciting Bronze Age 'grail' is Scooby Doo #1 (Gold Key comics 1970). FMV for a Spotlight #5 in 9.2 is 7K. Scooby Doo #1 in a 9.2 has a FMV of 12.5K . There are 176 of the Spotlight 9.2s, compared to only 10 of the Scooby Doo 9.2s. There has still not been a CGC graded copy of Scooby Doo #1 higher than a 9.4 and there only 2 of these, compared to almost 100 9.4 copies of Spotlight 5. The true Bronze Age grail is the still yet missing 9.6/9.8 copy of Scooby Doo #1. Is it out there?

but not every book is a 9.8… its only that expensive in that condition because its RARE with the all black cover. (Only 4 on census) I guess “biggest” cN be taken all kinds of ways… 181 sells more frequently and consistently and beats it in most other grades… But when you look at money exchanging hands throughout the year, plus popularity, more people are seeking after 181 in ANY grade over Spotlight… Imagine if 181 had a black cover and were only 4 in a 9.8 😳 Just my perspective

@ ive had no problems with BCW bags and boards. I put all modern to silver age books in silver sized bags and boards. Protects much better. I use gerber Silver age 2mil mylars and two back boards on all key issues valued over $50

What do you hear? Just more frequently talked about? Id guess cause there are more wolverine ltd series out there than the DKR due to them being prestige format and are more expensive books to make/buy, so people run into WOLVERINE more.
