Biggest catch of white marlin open 2021. 6 men rescued offshore

Fishbone heard a distress call and was able to reach 6 men fishing the white marlin open. They were fighting a big blue marlin when their vessel started taking on water. We arrived a few minutes later. All 6 men were in a life raft already and there vessel was going down quick! The video shows the rest.

I’ve had 2 scary situations one of which I saw my life flash before my very eyes. And another happened 20 miles offshore. Thankfully we were able to save the boat and get it back underway and get back to shore. After those issues it’s all about safety and being prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. My hats off to you and your crew 👍.

What a great job Fishbone did. As for the rescued, preparation is everything, radio call, life raft and life jackets even though they should have had "off-shore" rather than "in-shore" life jackets.

I am certain the guys in the life raft were thrilled to see a rescue coming to them. Way to go everybody. Boat that sank got lucky they had enough time to get in the life raft. Fishing Boat out of Half Moon Bay sank so fast the crew didn’t have time to radio in, nor were they able to man a life raft. It happened that fast. They were lucky another fishing boat happened upon them. All saved.
