Been to various locations in Florida (Jacksonville area, South beach area, Orlando/Kissimmee area, and tampa area). If I would live in Florida it would be Tampa! Sarasota would probably be my second pick.

I am worried about the constant growth and suburban sprawl. We are losing our natural habitats and the "upscale" developments are changing the culture of the region.

According to Metropolitan Statistical data, Manatee County FL is included in the Tampa MSA-Sarasota is not included in the MSA. Manatee County is also included in the Sarasota-Bradenton-North Port MSA. It appears that Manatee is part of two national MSA’s, according to the statistical data.
