BIGGEST El Slammo Classic EVER in a "BOMB Cyclone" Winter Storm

When the El Slammo Classic got green lit the forecast read 3ft @ 9 Seconds. Shortly after we decided to run the contest, the forecast jumped to some ridiculous height & the weather channel starting promoting their bomb cyclone Winter Storm event. A Winter storm could never stop a contest that was created for vikings! This is the El Slammo Classic 2022, the most fun surf contest out. Thanks for all the stoke & support! FOR THE DREAM!! - Ben

Part-time legend. A full legend wouldn't have skipped the event - after shooting his own theatrical pre-game intro as a featured rider - to try and get better waves elsewhere. Just wouldn't do it. The rest of the time though, Rob Kelly is a legend.

So fun to watch. I know you guys in the North put up with this weather but for a guy born and raise in Florida, this is what dreams are made of. You may not see this as a novelty anymore but some of us would love to experience it. Surfing in blizzard with a great group of friends looks like the most fun ever. Keep it up !

Ben Gravy, thank you for all your hard work, you and your Team! All that beach replenishment has almost covered that Longport Jetty with sand. There is going to continue to be more storm surge during storms with the continued scam of beach replenishment. Sand is structure. It’s no difference if you put sand in a full glass of water, the water in the glass is going to over flow!

Crazy. Heavy cold slamming surf. But Cyclone Bombs we’re always bigger in 1973. Snow was deeper, water was colder. Waves were slammier.😜
