It's a dream come true to work with Brian & Chris from Algorithm to bring Ben Gravy Surfboards to life! I'm obviously joking about how I quit riding soft tops for good. Superbrand was my favorite hard boards I've ever ridden & it's exciting to continue to work with Brian in a much more open and creative space. Been handicapped from cancer and unable to surf after Decades of surfing (yes I am an old fart) my bucket list includes one last session, May only be able to knee or belly a wave. When the time comes I will purchase the Menace, long enough, then leave behind for my grandson to remember me by. Your attitude has brought much joy. Darn I just bought a lightly used Slater 6'6" cuz I'm getting old and fat and needed the 44 liters to float me. I would have jumped on the Semi Pro or Barrel Kuta if I hadn't just bought that board. I haven't even rode it yet (summer=longboard waves). I'll definitely keep and eye on bengravysurfboards for my next new board. Kinda funny that you and a couple other guys were the ones to make soft tops cool. They used to be just for beginners or rentals but now even my hardcore neighbors have a couple. I see your pineapple logo all over the Outer Banks. I'm hoping to run into you in the lineup some time. I see Bret Barley in the water a lot. I got an Oneil catalog in the mail and there he is being a model. It's gotta be nice getting to surf as a job. I have the next best thing, it's a fun job and I'm my own boss so if the waves are good, I can put a "Gone Surfing" sign in the window and go. Keep up the Stoke.
