great stuff man, I watch a lot of different installers and you give some great advice. Now constructively I would suggest 2 things.. an IR heater on a stand, as a one man show having this a few feet away will increase the ambient temp just enough to soften but not too much that you over stretch. secondly that gravel or dirt on the bottom cant be good with all the static potentially drawing into the film. other than that keep up the good work!

Bad ass job Christian! I don't normally like that kind of film but Avery got it right with this one!

arhhhhhh man really wanted to see how you got to the knifeless to cut the over laying piece that you folded in on that middle section, sadly this piece was cut out and the bumper was much more complete in the next frame. can you walk me through this please?? i hope you understand what im asking..... Thanks for the video man.

Good as vid!my stang has a similar shape bumper but i only need to wrap the middle section. It's very similar to my 2011 boss 302 front bumper.

New fan of the channel. Love seeing the outcome. Would love to get some hands on with some of this product. I think it adds a quality finish to your vehicle and protection to boot. Have never wrapped anything before and I wish I had discovered this earlier in life LOL Ill definitely be watching. Keep up the good work brother.

That is an absolutely beautiful color. I’ve heard this purple wrap from them is one of the most challenging wraps to deal with when it comes to putting on. Feels like I’ll have to go heat gun crazy for this wrap 😂

I see a lot of talk about cold stretching as much as you can and only heating for deeper parts or corners as needed. You seem to heat and stretch across the bumper. Doesn't this fade the color of the wrap? Can you explain why you don't use heat only for killing the vinyl memory or for recesses? Genuinely curious, about to do my first wrap.
@CKWraps6 жыл бұрын
When wrapping a bumper with this much "taper" at the top + bottom middle and upper and lower corners we must add heat. If you watch any installer for example Justin Pate. You'll see how he also will stretch the film across the bumper using heat. Yes the color can fade if you stretch too much. The idea is obviously not to over stretch the film. Also I did heat along all of the edges + corners. I did not heat around the fog light area since it wasn't very much stretch. With all bumpers it is mandatory to heat and stretch across the bumper. This doesn't necessarily apply for all panels. Also, depending on the temperature in your work space, if it's let's say 90 degrees then you would most likely not need to add much heat if any at all. So how much you heat the film will also depend on the ambient air temperature

Hey Christian pretty sure you’ve already read the comments but a few of us really wanted to see the bit that got missed in the way of sorting out the knifeless behind the main wrap haha… Have you got any other videos that do cover a knifeless with an inlay and how you setup the additional cuts on the larger wrap over the top of those areas to then pull the knifeless through it?

those are made to look like a "factory" paint job where most cars' paint has orange peel to some degree.

Alot of the custom colors that are offered from 3m, avery, or vivvid would be super time intensive to replicate. And if you are offering those types of paint jobs for $2k-4k and making money? Well..... More power to ya.
@sfgwraps18016 жыл бұрын
paint has it's place but I've painted numerous personal cars and builds to 10k-20k rock chips still chip the paint plus if it's anything of substantial value Porsche/Ferrari/etc paint decreases value. also when that damage occurs you'r back to blending and matching. with wrap films you simply replace the panel.. both have their place
