Tsar bomba was way bigger tho , the fireball had an radius of around 12 km ( even tho the bomb was at 50% of expected power due to the uranium 238 tamper beeing replaced with lead ) and 3’rd degree burns ware expected up to around 100 km away from the explosion

If you're watching this and noticing that some of the explosions seem to glitch out by flashing all over the map, that's due to Source Engine's 3D skybox system. When designing maps for gmod, you have the option to build a miniature part of the map that uses a special texture where a camera shot of this mini-map is used to render the area outside of your map for extra realism. The glitchy effect occurs because the particle system created by the bombs goes beyond the map boundary and intersects the 3D skybox placed just outside the map. What's cool about maps with 3D skyboxes is that if you locate it, you can put props and entities in it that become enlarged by the RT camera system. This is a good way to make the already impressive scale of gbombs explosives even bigger.

When the Tsar Bomba was being assembled, they replaced the outer layer with lead - which HALVED its yield by half. It would have been 100 MT instead of the measly 50 MT yield. Also noting here that the flash was visible from 1600 km away and inflicted third-degree burns at a distance of 100 km. The mad thing is, the real Castle Bravo fireball was so big that it would completely cover the sky in all directions when seen from a position this close. From wiki: "Within one second it formed a fireball almost 4.5 miles (7.2 km) across." Insane!
