MAJORITY OF MOROCCANS PREFER TO GO BACK TO THEIR HOMELAND AT EID PERIOD. EID IS FAMILY FESTIVITIES OPPORTUNITY. IN MOROCCAN CULTURE IT'S NOT GOOD TO INVITE SOMEONE TO A RESTAURANT. BETTER TO INVITE HIM AT HOME IN ORDER TO EXPRESS HIM THAT YOU ARE CONSIDERING HIM LIKE A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY BY INVITING HIM AT HOME, BUT IF YOU INVITE HIM TO ANY OUTSIDE PLACE SUCH COFFEE-SHOP OR A RESTAURANT HE CAN TAKE IT BADLY AS YOU ARE NOT EVEN INVITING HIM TO YOUR HOUSE!

Correct but.. Ana jay = i am coming (the speaker is male) Ana jaya= i am coming (the speaker is female) Unlike english languge, In arabic language (darija included) we have two "First person pronoun" one for female and one for male, and verbs goes with it, like "jaya" for female, and "jay" for male

Hi Erin. I was searching for videos about Morocco and felt on your channel. You are full of positive mind and I'm so happy that you advertise🇲🇦 to🇺🇸ans. I am half french , half moroccan (nouss-nouss) 😊and have been living 20 years in morocco in my childhood. Even more about your moroccan experience I like very much your expat attitude and approach, you are so open to everything , which make me believe that you could adapt to nearly all countries in the🌍. I recon' this because I also have been expat for 24 years on 4 continents and met some people who could not and will never adapt and take the best of the place where they are. There are goods and bads in 🇲🇦(I hate the driving!) But people are so nice that you can only fall in love with the country and the people. It'll be a great experience for your kids as well. Maha salama! Ps: there are plenty of secret, surprising and wonderful place to visit in Morocco. Do you know for instance that there are 2 placefor practising ski in🇲🇦?During winter of course😊. Maybe you do not understand some things, such as closing stores, After the holidays, the people who own the shops are from very far away areas and may not see their families for a long time. For them, this is an opportunity to sit with them for a while. This is the reason, but you can still go to the major markets, such as Marjan, Asima, or Salam or Bim markets, which will be open one day after Eid or holidays.
