I love this video it brings out the exact things and challenges that, as a new immigrant, one goes through . The one I mostly would like to point out is that one of you do not need to work many hours and a lot because more tax will he taken from your paycheck. If anyone tells you that they are setting you up for failure, ignore them and work those hours, especially in your formative years . Work very, very hard . Because whether you worl or not tax will be taken from you so you better work hard and save save save alot . 2. As she says, DO NOT MAKE YOURSELF TOO AVAILABLE FOR EVERY EVENT . Especially when new, just as she says, build up yourself FIRST . GREAT JOB ESSY, thank you for enlightening people on these truths when they come here.

Advice to anyone who works lots of OT in the Western world - here in Canada and am sure in the States, one can opt to have additional tax deducted by the employer- in that way after filing tax returns - it reduces the amount of tax debt owed or in the event there is tax over payment, CRA refunds back the money.
