I agree, definitely not the biggest, my Chase three cup is about that same size, but I installed the remote starter and along with the remote choke, can start my engine from my transmitter. When you're flying and have the altitude you can kill the engine and then restart it in flight. Lots of fun and you will get a lot more attention from the audience. Just starting your engine remotely will get their attention. Takes approximately 30 minutes to install the cost is approximately $120-125. It would do great on your plane you would really enjoy it.

You should install a remote electric starter, along with a remote choke control. It will make starting the engine a lot easier. I have them installed on two of my planes, one is a decathlon and your other one is a J-3 cub with a 12-foot wingspan. It gets all sorts of attention at the Flying Field. It is relatively inexpensive, less than $120. Very easy to install will take approximately 30 minutes. Today is July 17th 2022. With the remote electric starter, you could be flying around and kill the engine, and then restart the engine while you're flying around, the crowd will go crazy. Lots of fun. Plus it is a heck of a lot safer when you're starting the engine your hands are not near the prop.

Yes, that's a bishop rule for safety never stand in front of the prop or alongside of it. I had one of my engine backfire and it through the prop approximately, 40 or 50 ft out into the field, if somebody was standing in front of it they would get hurt very bad. Safety First.

Very nice build. Does it have electric start ? I noticed the top hatch was coming loose, have you considered ZIF fasteners? Nice landing, the big ones are harder to land than some may think. They may be heavier but they also have so much more wing and lift. Great job. Getting ready to build my Carolina Custom Kits Quarter Scale J-3 Cub. Putting the DLE-35 with Pitts muffler and Electric start. Should be a really nice flyer. Nothing compared to your giant but high enough for me. I wish you many years of enjoyment with you beautiful plane. You did a great job.

My dad Ernest D Casarez was real big into RC aircraft along with his brother tomas Casarez in riverside California my dad had an RC way bigger he flew it back in 1987 military personnel from March Air Force Base came out to see what was going on because it showed up on their radar they always watched my dad and uncle fly my dad designed a stealth bomber back in 1979 that they use today they stole his design my uncle designed a jet that only the wings move for turning and lift they were way ahead of there time i still have most of his drawings he never built frome a kit his RC airplanes were all designed in his head
