Your reasoning for more players getting injured couldn't be more wrong. It's the exact opposite. Calling them gods in regards to social media, and saying the weight that carries leads to physical ailments among other things; Soo far off. I dont know how you can even make that comparison. And calling them 'gods' for having a million + followers on a fucking social media app is a showcase of how confused you are about any famous persons role in our society. They get injured because they dont have the same toughness players had back in the day. Period. That has factors: Upbringing, style of training, and lack of effort among other things. I cant believe you make videos on this shit

Tired of the expectations placed on YOung prospects and what it can do. Most prospects don’t amount to anything. Take it from a baseball fan. What prospects need are good coaches and good culture who seek to develop the best of what a player can do. Plus the fact that they are playing in the g league/nba is an accomplishment.

No, Kobe showed signs in his rookie year but didn't have hype. Sharpe is closer to a Kobe comp than Scoot is. Yup. Out of rookie guards, probably no one would had bet Keyonte George of Utah having a better early season than Scoot. Honestly I’ve started seeing a trend of g-league drafted players being inconsistent their 1st year despite playing against what most would consider as “closes as you can get to the nba in America.” Although despite me saying this the ones who were drafted high end up showing flashes late in their 1st year then show consistency in the following years. I think of guys like green kuminga and daniels for example. I do believe that scoot will find a way to get better at his inconsistency as long as he realizes how to not put his body in any unnecessary injury. That just seems to be a thing with hyper athletic point guards. Even now I still look at ja side ways whenever he attacks the rim. How that guy hasn’t had any major injuries yet is insane to me. Also the fact ppl call guys busts without giving the player at least 3 years has always been crazy to me. Not everyone is amazing from the start.

The closest thing to the NBA in term of talent AND competition level is the Euroleague. The g-league has talent but the competition is awful, g-league games look like the summer league but for a whole season lol, it's barely basketball really. At this point young Americans who dont want to go through the NCAA processus should go to Europe, still get paid around 500.000 to 1M€ and get experience against real pros who are there to win and not just to get out of the league like they do in the G.

Stunt #4 The G league stunts growth. Or at least slows it. The G league is purely an offensive showcase, rarely better than high level open gym runs. Unless they already have a decent grasp on the other non scoring fundamentals of basketball, like if they played overseas, they aren't going to learn the nuances in the G League. Both Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga are having a difficult time when they aren't the focal point of the offense.

Scoot had a slow start in the G-League too. Fultz is a good example of how a talented guy can miss a bunch of games and get the bust label, yet somehow carve out a career of sorts. Scoot may have a similar future. However we've also seen many point guards start slow then break out to All-Star level, so "bust" is not an appropriate label for now. Any point guard drafted much lower would be getting hype for his upside, if he came in with Scoot's current production in just 9 games, so it's really about expectations.

@@DarkSkinT it’s not really about the players for international but it’s like when you watch the international players it’s so fresh and new because they started to actually put pressure on their body later than USA players like Ja has been jumping like that since 14 it’s causes international players to be less injury prone and more skillful most of all players are drafted on hidden potential

Lots of us Hornets fans have already said we were wrong for wanting Scoot over Brandon Miller…it’s just hard for us to believe the Hornets will make correct decisions in general Still could have had a Duren/Mark Williams frontcourt 🤦‍♂️

@@ry_an. again, that would mean he was not scouted properly and we don’t know what he is. ESPN ranked this guy top 80 players. If that’s all not reality, what is he? For a top 3 pick? Probably bust. Teams don’t tank for end of the bench g league projects
@ry_an.
@ry_an. 10 ай бұрын
@@DoodleHats it is not possible to predict the future. He was putting up decent numbers against G-league players at 17/18/19 years old even with a mediocre jumpshot. Fox and garland came into the league looking lost at first. Teams tank for game changers. Henderson obviously isn’t that right now but it’s too early to say that he can’t be.

Scoot is still a teenager, not really even a man yet with all due respect. Only a small percentage of players are ahead of the curve at 19 years old. The G league is not going to make someone an NBA player it's only going to prepare them in certain ways to have a better chance in the NBA. Unless they are 8 feet tall with an 8 foot wingspan and even then they can't control the outcomes of games yet.
