this is true - Every establishment be it exchange place, bar or nightclub a tour guide takes you is because they are receiving money for it. But they give you 0% comission. The thing is they give you a very bad exchange rate and charge you than 0%. Imagen you go to REWE and buy a bottle of water for 19 Cents next to REWE is a small kiosk that have the same water but have a nice "Keine Mehrwertsteuer" but will charge you for the same bottle 2 Euros. THey still will have to pay later the 19% tax but they made alot of money.

Yes. It's when you go to a place with all you can eat food and they say it is free all you can eat. Entry costs €400.
@dingo70556 жыл бұрын
Yeah, no, in most civilised countries that is considered "Misleading and deceptive conduct" under trade laws, and I almost guarantee that the EU has similar laws. They can CLAIM that they're charging 0% commission but that their rate is just really bad, but the key is they're using the 0% commission claim as "bait advertising" to get people through the door to buy a product that they normally wouldn't based on any reasonable metrics. Seriously these guys should be in jail or out of business at the least. The fact that it is so widespread in Prague indicates to me that they're probably very well connected and someone high up is taking a cut to let it happen - typical East European/Asian/Shitpot corrupt kleptocracy country.
@TheSnahsnah6 жыл бұрын
unfortunately, every bank does the same thing: 0% commission, but their rate is + -2% the actual market rate. These people are just turning the normal bank scam to 11. So I doubt it's fraud.

G+1121494 Because commission is an additional service charge. They are not applying an additional service charge so it is correctly and legally 0% commission. All they are doing is giving a poor exchange rate. Every exchange place does this. These guys just take it to the extreme. If you look at global exchange rates then look at rates of buying and selling they are never the same.

I was in Prague a week ago in Old Square Hotel which is near this exchange point. In the hotel we told not to use this exchange, but go a few steps to Maiselova/Kaprova streets. The difference was 15 vs 26.5 (!!!!) Czk. On the other hand, I just can't believe that someone using this exchange. Its so easy to check the exchange rate on the internet :(

@@chesshooligan1282 I agree, despite thinking some of these rates are ridiculous. Its like crossing the road without looking and expecting the government to stop a car hitting you, before buying have a look around see what the shot is. I know everyone going to say, evil capitalist,but they do have overheads, but 0% commission means they have to make money another way, becasue they won't get the rates posted in the Financial Times either. I'd wager the guy charging 20% is right to be unconcerned, the irony is if he displayed this as commission from the start he of been bust, all those smart people going for 0% rather then looking at what they're actually being charged.

@ Some time ago a coworker of mine got into a long contract with a network in order to get the latest smartphone at the time -- it may have been the Samsung Galaxy S2. A few months into the contract, cheaper, better phones came on the market, and cheaper pay-as-you-go plans became available as well. He then said the government should do something about it because some people (like himself) "get sucked in." He was a lefty, of course. I told him exactly what I've told OP, that it's not the government's job to babysit him throughout his entire life and protect him from bad decisions. When he finished his 18-month contract, he got into an identical contract with the same mobile phone network for the latest top-of-the-line phone. Lefties are just children that never grow up and want big-daddy government to replace their biological mummy and daddy.

This is to warn potential customers to be wary of dealing with them because they are not registered or regulated by any financial regulatory agency, not even FCA in the UK or ASIC in Australia nor Cysec in Cyprus. Presently, efforts are ongoing to track the individuals behind this company and significant progress has been made. I am only putting this up here for others not to fall victim to this company.
