Before even watching the video I can say Somebody That I Used To Know is absolutely S tier. Flawless songwriting, flawless lyrics, perfect vocal performances, immaculate production. It’s so iconic, so catchy, so instantly recognizable. It has one of the best samples of all time as well. You really couldn’t ask for a better pop song. This was such a blast of my childhood and teenage years, holy shit. I remember playing one of these songs on repeat so often my friend smashed my cd player. Amazing. Fun Fact (that probably everybody knows): The original melody for Old Town Road is a track called 34 Ghosts IV by (my favourite band) Nine Inch Nails. Ghosts are a collection of instrumental tracks from 2008 An Industrial band founded in the 80s still having that much influence today is in my opinion incredible.
