Sean Combs, which is why I said I don’t blame Big, the song was made well before Pac’s unfortunate shooting, but Puffy controls what gets released, he was trying to sneak diss in my opinion, he never liked Pac. just listen to all interviews where 2pac mentions Puffy, he looked at him like the dancer he came into the industry as, and even the line… “you can tell those people you roll with whatever you want, but you and I know what’s going on”, clearly he knew Puff was on some behind the scenes BS

What's so funny is that I was there that night at the Jason's Lyric party. I was in college at Morgan State at this time and my roommate from NYC had a friend who was in the music industry said he could get us in at the party. We drove all the way up to NYC that night went to the party. It was crazy because every rapper from the tri state area was there. I remember seeing Jada at the party. At first I didn't recognize her because she her hair cut short and it was blond. Lol, I also remember standing next to Biggie and seeing Anthony Mason big ass walking toward and standing a few feet from us.

The Version with Keith Murray was on NY Mix tapes before pac got shot and its on youtube. I Doubt Puff released it to diss Pac. I don't why they keep asking the same question. We know as a matter of historical fact Who Shot Ya wasn't written for 2pac. It was clear (and understandbly so) that Pac thought it was about him. He references it in the hook on Hit Em Up. What's interesting is, as far as I can tell, the Bad Boy camp knew with 100% certainty Pac took it that way and they seem to have done nothing to clarify the record while Pac was alive. It seems that they were fine with that perception being out there. Would the clarification have made a difference? maybe not. But we know Pac had the ability to reason. He felt Nas subliminally dissed him, and they cleared it up in a five minute conversation. I've asked Michael Namikas the author of the Tupac Encyclopedia Vol.1 if he knows of any effort from Bad Boy to clarify the history of that record while the beef was on, and it appears not. Does anyone else know? This is the problem with subliminal diss culture. People take things the wrong way. Pac wasn't the only rapper to ever get on wrong either. After being shot at a studio where Biggie and Bad Boy were present, the paranoia and the grapevine rumors circling at the time, his perceived betrayal from Stretch, a song called Who Shot Ya is pretty on the nose from his perspective at the time.
