Little trick guys for those deep hooked fish. Carry a pair of really good sharp side cutters or cutting pliers and cut the hook off as deep as you can without making him bleed. He will unlodge it if it's just a small portion left after the cut. Toss him back

AWESOME VIDEO SIR! Thanks for bringing us along. That catfish looked like a small flathead. But really couldn't see in the video. Also was a HOG that spit the hook. I would say keep the rod tip in the water next time. That way it keeps the bass from jumping as much and as high

Awesome wk John, that is also one of my favorite spots to fish. been fishing it before that dam was there, 20 min paddle up to the dam(if you dont fish just paddle) but the whole area is good. That right corner of the dam between the corner and the pipe is usually chock full of crappie as well.

You should definitely try the storm hopper popper, it is the same size as the crick hopper but has a popper mouth instead of a crank.
