Nice work uncle. Thanks for visiting all these cities in Mindano. I live near you fav condo in Mabolo, couple blocks closer to Ayala. I prefer more options and walkable cities. Enjoy how easy it’s to get out of the city into nature from Cebu City. Are you going back to Manila after your Mindano tour? Cheers!

I can imaging that it is not easy keep your belongings reduced on a few kg and pack everything up after 4 days or so. Maybe it's time to stay a few months in Manila again? If going to Digos, check Hotel de Crisbelle in Digos. A typical Phils hotel, 3 stars. No idea where they got that…😅. Good basic Phils food in the hotel. Not expensive. And across the street a great lechon Manok place. I forgot the name but follow your nose! Smoke all around at that place. Good luck and enjoy!

When you're in Gensan, between KCC and SM there is a decent outdoor bar for a sundowner in the city. I went often, I never saw any foreigners there. They have some live music later at weekends, it's called The Pub est 2021 I think.

Thanks for that Rick. I'll check it out. I was wandering the streets last night. Didn't see any foreigners in town. Regular Guy said there's a "bar area" but didn't know where. All I found was Liam James Kainan next to Kwicky Mart on the Highway. Any other "bar areas" that you're aware of?

I admire you for all your traveling around the Philippines but i live in manila now for six years and haven't been to many places but I go to nice places like Bohol and a few other places and sometimes go to KL. Soon you will be rich with your English pension. I can live comfortably on it and I don't get the full amount

Thanks Steve. I'm exhausted now. Need to find somewhere to rest my bald head for awhile, so heading back to Manila early December. They keep moving the goalposts re pension. The year I reach 66, it raises to 67, so need to wait till 2028 if I'm still alive.

@BiggWorldCinema im sure you will be alive. Im 68 and still doing ok had some tests done and everything was ok. I got my pension at 66. But only got 29 years worth not the full 35 years worth. I know you like the senior discount and i have the discount card so im happy with that

MTS is buzzing at the week end,Theres a call center and loads of puss.You really need to get a scooter to find the real davao.You should stay at one oasis but the pool is closed on mondays for cleaning.You can get fit walking down the coast road.It took me 7 years to find the best places in Davao.

Why Mindanao?. I find Leyte the best province. Centrally located. Palompon, Ormoc are great places to settle and you can live ok for the much talked about $1000 a month

more than 260 million filipino register active on social media we dont want foreigner who always complain on simple things yes we are hospitable and humble and friendly but we never like rude people 😉😉 just a piece of advice if you blog about us as filipino and how you live in our country make sure you will not say anything bad anyway do search before you go so all your expectation will already know ok if your budget is tight just dont live on socialize if you looking for cold weather go to Baguio city philippines not ice but it high place city of pines if you want cheap live in Province and expect what you expect a lot of social life is not there connectivity you totally engage to nature not what you desire
