I sure love your videos and how you articulate. Still working at preparing for the IFR knowledge test. I have a Piper Lance with the Garmin 750xi, 2 G5’s with GTN 500 auto pilot. Next month the avionics shop in Corvallis will be removing one of the G5 and installing the G3X. I was just talking to them about leaving a few of the old steam gages as well, airspeed, altimeter, vertical speed, and turn Coordinator which are still in it. They as well said it was doable and I think it’s at least some redundancy in the event your screens go black. The way you articulate the airplane systems is very helpful and I definitely appreciate all your videos that I’ve watched thank you.

They call it VFR because it's the 'rules' around VMC flight (as in Visual Flight Rules) Same as IFR vs IMC. .

Absolutely right! Sorry if that did not come across clearly….it wasn’t the main point of the video that I was trying to make, but thanks for pointing it out.
