Ah, you remind me of someone last year who was trying to throw their shade subtly, asking ARMYs, 'But how will you feel when a new group comes along and breaks all their records?' So I pointed out that while there may one day be more streams, more views, and more sales, the vast number of 'Firsts' can't be broken or duplicated. The best a new group can hope for in that sense is, 'the first since BTS', or 'joins BTS in-' whatever it is. And that, of course, is why they 'paved the way'. Their response? Crickets. 😏

Kpop fans actually wish their faves love them like BTS loves ARMY. One of the reasons why I can't stan other group is because I don't feel the same level of strong bond between groups and their fandom. Adding to my feeling that **cough, cough** there are groups who are awkward or trying hard to connect in front of the camera like someone had told them what to say or do. You feel it's not natural.

The hysteria when people would see them after waiting all night at airports to see them. The girls that dressed up like hotel staff to get into their rooms. The lunch boxes, bubble gum and trading cards we collected. The school binders, collectible dolls and games we bought. The movies and the Saturday Morning cartoons we watch faithfully. Young men who dressed like them, grew their hair out and started musical bands because of them. Some of the most influential musical bands cite them as the reason they got into music. The songs that they wrote in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s that are still being sung and recorded today. Imagine, Yesterday and Here Comes The Sun are three of the most re recorded songs by other artist of all time. They had 21 songs hit the top of the Billboard Charts in their 10 years active. BTS hasn’t quite done that yet. The way we mourned we John Lennon was assassinated and when George Harrison died from Cancer. The fact that today Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are considered treasures. Just because you may not have been alive and experienced it does not mean it was not comparable. Do any of the things people did for The Beatles sound familiar to you? I am very pleased to be able to see a musical and cultural phenomenon again in my life. BTS is amazing and I’m sure someday when you are older you will look back and cherish all the things and memories you have about them just as people of my age and older cherish The Beatles. I give all the props to BTS. They are amazing and their music will transend generations. JungKook may very well be an artist on par with Prince who could do anything. I hope I am still alive to see more of it.

There will never be another group like BTS, they changed, adapted and did things that were right for them and did it with character and integrity without throwing hate or shade on anyone else. Their music and the entire discography speaks for itself. While there will be some that are doing well for themselves and that is a good thing as BTS brought the KPop genre front and center to the world to show what they can do, in the end BTS is in a league of their own now. The keyword is evolve. When Namjoon released his latest album RPWP, he gave a subtle hint of the changing panorama of BTS and each individual member's next move. His latest album generated quite a buzz in the music world. Is that Kpop idol? His music is quite different and astonishing for some. Then he was seen playing the sax in Jin's military release. Again the buzz from Armys. And Jin's normal appearance to assure us that all is back to normal. Maybe or maybe not. BTS is evolving. They are moving forward. You cannot catch them. They are always in the move and always shocks the world when they reveal what is cooking. It is like a game that no one can beat them. And that's what makes BTS exciting, forever young and puts you on the edge of your seat. You need to buckle up though, in case you fall off the chair like Jimin. BTS is on to a new era that would make history again in the.music world. Never have I seen such a group at my age of 77. Never. They are indeed a phenomenon ! Out of the ordinary. BTS is an ongoing show without a script! They are the script.

true it really created a buzz in the music world so it was not as much as in the public who mainly listen to trendy pop songs but the people who really love music was really impressed. y favorite i Nuts i love the beat and flow of it. it´s so raw. also like groin. for Rm it´s rarely the title track i love the most except for wildflower that was the best from indigo because of the lyrics and overall production. from mono i love forever rain it´s so unque and i keep going back to that song. it really makes me see into his world. how lonely it is being famous

BTS have always evolved, and chapter 2 is just a part of that process. I can’t wait for an awesome world tour I would imagine in 2026. I hope they don’t rush their return, they deserve time to process and rest. They won’t be inactive but I hope they take their time and produce the tour they want. I hope that they do security sweeps on a regular basis on the 15th floor.

I liked your take on how do we measure success for BTS in the future. I do get worn down by comments demanding to know why people aren't streaming 24/7 and/or for certain members. Music should be enjoyed, not just streamed because we have to show so-and-so's fandom that we're still on top. I lloved that RPWP grew on me and made me think. I love that The Astronaut reduced me to tears so I had to ration my listening so my husband didn't wonder what was wrong with me! You are right, they are artists, and they should produce the music they want, not what they think will garner millions of hits but not satisfy them creatively.

And I refuse to believe that people who stream from morning till night on 7 different devices just to get the 'highest numbers' are really enjoying the music. It's all about the charts for them. So let's say tv, tablet, telephone, and Google speaker are all playing. The one I am actively listening to the most is the one that suits my mood at that moment. I can either switch playlists or turn one device down and the other up if I have specialized playlists going. 😂🤷🏾‍♀️

Huge respect to the ARMYs who decided not to go to the discharge ceremony and respected their privacy. Korean media are praising ARMYs for this. As Seokjin said, "ARMYs are the best." I was waiting for an emotional, heart-rending reunion of the members, and RM came out of nowhere with a saxophone.😂 Lol, it was so funny. And let me tell you, that OT7 picture cured the entire ARMY. After six tannies-less months and around two to three months of a targeted online smear campaign, that picture made me so happy. I am sure the members were 777% happier about the reunion than ARMYs. I think this is the longest time they have been away from each other. The crowd around the HYBE building, trying to catch a glimpse of the members, is an indirect answer to all those who were saying BTS have lost their popularity. I am waiting for their future endeavors and especially their 2025 reunion.🤗 And also about today's festa event. It was so disgusting to see one 'ARMY' trying to kiss Seokjin. He looked so uncomfortable. Korean media will focus on that one moment and blame the entire event.😶

Yes, and I am happy to see another musical phenomena in my life time but props and homage must be paid to those who came first. They broke ground and paved the way for what happens today in the music industry of any genre. Where would any dancer be without Michael, Fred Astaire , Mikhail Baryshnikov and others to pave the way or any group be without The Beatles or Elvis and Prince. I'm a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. I think them peaking in chapter 2 will have a better impact because in chapter 1 all of kpop was riding the coattails of their success so them peaking would be looked at as all of kpop peaking together. Them taking this break put the spotlight on the other groups and they did not live up to the hype. There were no significant achievements. Now, when they come back, not only will the fill that void but their impact will be obvious to everyone. I believe that's why the groups that were claiming success under their achievements (not naming any names) is on hiatus and will have their comeback in 2025 too.

It should come as no surprise that all the members chose to celebrate Jin's return with Armies. Whenever they have anything to celebrate (birthdays or awards) they like to share it with Army. Also, regarding the BU, I just discovered a new channel (Into The Bangtan Universe Wormhole) which is breaking down what has happened so far using all resources available (notes, videos, games, etc.). I confess that I've never really followed the BU closely. I get the gist of what happened, but there were parts that I didn't catch at all. I usually just rely on Bookish Theories and XCeleste to tell me what was going on. It'll be interesting to see what you've come up with. 💜

I think BigHit are quite wise they don't want accidents they don't want anyone getting hurt so they'll go with what the members want if they can work it in a way that BTS gets as much as possible of what they want/require while doing it in the safest possible way to protect the members and ARMY. That's a good company ethic to have. It's what you want from a your company you want them to do the risk assessments and come up with idea's to make things safer and easier for everyone.

I watched a lot of live footage at the BTS Fiesta. The people I saw was a diverse group and a wide-range of ages. I was really surprised as the age groups I saw. ARMY is aging with the BTS members so the fan base is very strong. I agree that BTS is here for the long term. This 75 year old, Black grandmother, USA, is enjoying what I am witnessing. I plan to travel to South Korea in September 2025. I will be happy to just see BTS banners in South Korea.

Hybe's shares of stock suddenly rose to 1.4%+ immediately after Jin went out of that gate of the Military Camp. Jin explained that it was Jin's request to have a hug event with 3k ARMY and, after series of negotiation in 6 months, Jin was able to obtain his request but the numbers is trimmed down to 1k fans.

yes and tbh I think that was much easier and safer to achieve. I can just imagine all the possible danger moments had it been as big and as long as the lovely Jin first envisaged it. He had a great and lovely idea it was tweeked so it was able to happen safely.

I'm an aussie ARMY and it broke news over here when jin got discharged from military my phone was going off ARMY fanbase is feared because we stand by BTS no matter what ect BTS is feared hated and loves because they have broken language barriers defied the odds pushed barriers and all ect and never gave up even when it was tough they pushed threw BTS and ARMY will always stand by eachother.💜💜

I went with her to Wembley on the second day ( so iconic now) just so she had someone with her!! And I then understood her love for them!! I really did!! I’ve felt so emotional since Jin was discharged I can explain it. It’s made want to be in Korea next year when all the boys are discharged!! I agree with so much of what you have shared!!!! I have said in the past the BTS shedding the "boy band" image will be very natural and the majority of ARMY will be ready for it. There will be a few who do not like change and they will either adjust and continue as ARMY or just move on. I have always believed (and not just from a PR perspective) that removing themselves from the "boy band" imagine is key to their longevity and BTS has already begun moving in that direction. It really is a exciting time for everything that is to come!

You'd think they would have learned a few things about BTS and ARMY, wouldn't you? I mean, ten years-! That's a very slow learning curve! It made me laugh, though. Not just because they don't get how BTS and ARMY work: the fact that they didn't seem to realize they were admitting that K-pop in general can't shine unless BTS is taken off the stage. It's like if a sports team said, 'Oh, the other team didn't show up, they default! We won a game!' If the only way you can win is when your rival isn't even there...

The truly sad part is that they only focus on where BTS is now. If they could only stop and examine the "road" the members walked to become what they are now they might grasp how it was accomplished. While no other group can ever follow the exact route BTS traveled, I do believe that understanding the obstacle-laden and forced 'outsider' mindset they evolved in could show creative, talented and genuinely good at being human trainees how to maximize their own potential.

I have never stanned any kpop group before, in fact, I knew nothing about kpop and was never interested...until BTS 💜When I fell down the "Rabbit Hole", I fell hard...🤗 They are first and foremost, wonderful humans, they're grounded, respectful and so so talented...I love them sooooo much 🤧 The best part is I really feel that they love us back...They always put armies first in everything they do ... There was a recent article that came out just before Jin's discharge date, when the world and SK news were saturated with Jin's return, basically saying that "there is no substitute for Jin / BTS.... that the Bulletproof era continues". The kpop industry had 18 months to prove that it had what it takes to be the "next BTS" since they're so obsessed with trying to copy BTS' success without truly understanding how BTS and Army achieved their success over the past 11 years. Again, no idol group could do it. Even during these past 18 months, BTS solo albums dominated global charts, Billboard, UK charts, iTunes and awards. It must be so very difficult for kpop idol group netizens and naysayers to accept how BTS is a once in a lifetime group. None of their predictions have ever happened because they really do not understand how unique BTS and Army are and have not done some research to try to analyze how different BTS are from other idol groups regardless of the generations. All the naysayers are wasting their energies trying to bring BTS and Army down instead of focusing on their own artists / music groups and supporting their music as well as critically giving feedback about quality music. There is no next BTS. There will never be a next BTS. Jin's military discharge coverage and performance at the BTS Festa is proof. That's only one member commanding that much global power. Foreign media in the US, UK, Australia and other countries covered his discharge. No other South Korean artist's, kpop idol's or actor's military discharge had ever been that newsworthy. The SK kpop idol music industry needs to nurture their artists, encourage artistic freedom & creativity, allow their artists to evolve and mature. There is only one Bangtan Sonyeondan. Deal with it.

It has been an incredible response and out poring of emotion and global love. I have only witnessed it 2 other times in my life Elvis when he went to the Army and The Beatles with Beatlemania. Those musical history events were global. In modern times BTS is the 3rd. Of course we didn’t have the media like we do now but I can tell you it was always on our news. In our papers and magazines. Thank you so much for this video you are always on point. It is an exciting time. This wonderful man sent each and every member off so it is wonderful that they were there for him on the day I& his discharge, it shows that they love and respect him. As promised he was straight on Weverse and told us what we wanted to hear and know. Today he hugged 1000 Army and looked joyful whilst doing it. He just entertained us for an hour including doing some challenges including 0:02 Jungkook’s Seven dance challenge which he did really well and he even did a mini Eat Jin session. Everything we love about him. He made us laugh and brought us joy with his singing. He sang The Astronaut a little nervously but by the time he sang an extended version of Super Tuna he was as confident as usual finishing off with a brilliant rendition of Moon hitting those notes like he had never been away. This has been a happy day foe Army especially Jin’s fans and I am so grateful to him for doing all this the day after his discharge. I had heard that his album will be Rock orientated and hopefully with a couple of great Rock ballads. Suga promised him a song and he loves Jin singing ballads and I love Suga’s music so I am looking forward to it. Like you I have not seen them as a Boyband for a while just as great artists. Sorry it was long but I am so happy and excited. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I think chapter 2 ended with everyone entering the military. We need to make 2025/2026 chapter 3, a fresh new era for BTS and really setting that example of evolution for other groups to follow. I am so glad you mentioned ARMY expectations. We don't want them to work themselves to exhaustion and illness while juggling BTS music, personal music, other projects and relationships. As Joon/Yoongi both said in the 2022 dinner and in the Minimoni interview, it is harder to manage multiple projects and squeezing out ideas for songs. It becomes stressful and a chore and they CAN'T do that anymore. For me seeing them REALLY happy, relaxed and enjoying what they do while we reap the benefits is golden. Them pushing out too many tracks and events quickly and them being unhappy, I don't want a part of that. When they talk about their tough times but then you look back and see them smiling on TV shows and in Run BTS etc, it hurts my heart knowing they were covering up their heartache. I hope when they reunite for chapter 3 they be a little more selfish and put themselves first. Because if they are happy then I am happy.💜

No chapter 3 not here yet. We still at chapter 2. They are moving from boys,Restrictions,no-nos they are still introducing Army to the other side of them. Don't rush the chapters. Remember chapter 1 was about 10 years.

Everything before it was Chapter One, and everything after they reunite will be Chapter Two, but this very different time is a solo-mindset intermission between group mindsets.
