I made a clean NES mask a few years ago ( • Making a Friday The 13... ), but I wanted to make a new one with my own touches on it! What do you think of this video format? I thought I'd do something different just for fun on this NES 8-Bit Jason Voorhees Friday the 13th mask.

I’ve always thought it would be cool if you added all the damage taken through each of the movies, and put it on a part 3 mask. So it would keep continuity through the films

I actually really like this one. In fact, probably better than just the plain Jane NES mask. Moreso for the simplicity of it and love the use of the hot pink shade used for the deeper cut marks. I did find myself shouting at you for taking too much of the purple out of the snaps. “YOU WENT TO ALL THAT DETAIL TO CAREFULLY PAINT IT IN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?” 🤣🤣🤣 lol I did have a request for you. Seeing as you’re from Texas and Jason obviously wears hockey masks, why not combine those two things together and make one inspired by the only major professional NHL team in Texas, the Dallas Stars? Would be great to see what you come up with. Lots of Victory Greens, Blacks, Whites and Silvers on there... Excellent work as always, duder!

Thanks for the input. I was the same way. I like the old format and I'll go back to it, but this one also offers something cool. I just wanted to try it one time though! Shake things up and reduce the amount of video editing I had to do as well. lol

Mask idea: Forest fight, use part 6 Jason and use a stick that goes through the right top side of the mask and comes out of the left bottom and add blood for fx

I was working on my own version of an NES mask just yesterday. I was going for a something pristine and unweathered, though. I ran into a snag. As I was repositioning one of the chevrons, it grabbed onto some paint and ripped up a whole patch exposing the plastic. Guess I didn't let the paint cure long enough. Now I'm waiting on more decals to arrive as those were the only 8-bit ones I had from JDF. I hope they don't take too long shipping this time. Starting to get too cold outside to spray paint.
