A device with a similar footprint to the Boox Page or Kindle Paperwhite with a color E-Ink screen, Android App support, good screen for pen note-taking, and decent battery life (so no BSR) is all I want but hasn't come out yet
@KitBetts-Masters10 ай бұрын
Yeah, I'll let you know how I find the pen and battery life in the full review. I was thinking, perhaps eink don't make a screen with a Wacom pen layer at this size currently!

How does this compare to tab mini c for e reading
@AnimeFreakKatie10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the review! Will you be trying to get your hands on a Boox Leaf 3C for a review? I know it's China only release... but I've always leaned more towards Boox over Bigme. Oh, and in the full review for the Bigme B751c, can I request you compare the Kaleido 3 color / screen clarity / contrast to other devices, including the Boox Tab Mini C? I would have just gone for the Tab Mini C, but no SD card slot is a problem, and the S6+ color is a lot more muted and has less contrast than the Tab Mini C, which is why I was waiting for something better.
@KitBetts-Masters10 ай бұрын
Hiya, yeah, I think the Leaf 3C or Page C must be on the way. But I only think they'll send out the western version for review. Fingers crossed! Sure, I can add in some screen comparisons. I'm planning on doing a live stream so that would be a good thing to show then! 🙂

@@KitBetts-Masters Western version? I didn't know they were making a western version for the Leaf 3c / Page C! I look forward to the live stream, thank you!

I just recently bought this device as my first eReader but had to return it. It’s not good for reading comics, the colour has less contrast and I did try adjusting the e-ink settings when reading comics but it did not work for me. What I like with this device are: it has an SD card slot for expandable memory, buttons on the left side to turn pages, it looks good for just reading plain black and white books. I decided to purchase the Boox tab mini-c as the colour for comics has a darker contrast as what I’ve seen from the reviews. Here’s to hoping Boox tab mini-c will meet my expectations..

Hope so too. I'll be really interested to hear more about your experience. Kind thanks.

@@KitBetts-Masters My initial plan was to buy the Boox Tab Mini-C but it is expensive here in Aussie so I decided to buy the Bigme B5751c. The Bigme was actually a good device for reading (black & white prints) but not for comics or any other coloured material. Now I’m just waiting for my Boox tab mini-c to arrive.

@@MarieAllen1 please update when you get mini-c, stumbled upon few reviews that colors on mini-c is underwhelming as well and wondering how bigme compares to it

How is the mini c? I'm looking at both the mini c and this bigme. I like the form factor on the bigme a lot. I have the remarkable 2 and boox note air 2 and they are great but I'm looking for something smaller.

@@MarieAllen1Hey did you receive the Boox ? What do you think compared to the big me ? Thanks, I’m very hesitant to buy the big me or wait for the new kobo color.

I want a device that is good enough for reading books and newspapers so i need google play store. Is this good for this purpose?
@LeNguyen-cf5nw10 ай бұрын
If you are interested only in those things, I recommend just switching to a black-and-white e-ink screen. Colour e-ink is still in development and there are some downsides. For me personally, I'd wait until they solve these issues. At the moment, I think the Onyx Boox Page is the best device for reading in black and white. But check out other Onyx devices, they have the better OS for reading, in my opinion.
@KitBetts-Masters10 ай бұрын
Yeah, it perhaps would work well for you. I would probably recommend waiting for my full review though, so I can tell you my thorough evaluation after living with it for two weeks. 🙂

Hi Kit, wanted to ask, boox reader has this ability to connect to Google Drive and sync the book stored inside. Is Bigme have this similar feature as well?
@KitBetts-Masters6 ай бұрын
Yeah, they can. Basically, if you can download it on an android device, you can on these two as well!

Hello, i know you would make full review of this e-reader. What you thought from first impression as only reading device. Now i am using pocketbook 616(basic lux 2) for reading books,manga. But seen bigme b751c for around 260$ as cheapest color e-ink and wonder about swap to just casual read books and for colored manga/manhwa/comics on it. Mostly look on it because of such nice price, where i live even pocketbook era cost higher than that bigme, other colored e-readers cost for 600-800$.

I have this but what I found annoying is the auto rotation doesn’t work properly. When I turn off the auto rotation it goes back to the default orientation which is not the expected behavior. I find bigme’s software pretty buggy tbh.
@KitBetts-Masters10 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've noticed this since making this first thoughts video. I also noticed that the page buttons didn't auto switch as well! I am told there is a new update. Fingers crossed this solves some of these bits.

@@omolongmo I use the tablet style. I think, you didn't understand my issue. The issue is that when disable the auto rotation it doesn't stay in the last orientation it was but instead returns to the default setting

İ bought this machine. Size exactly good for me. My old machine kindle 10th generation. Actually i want to buy black and white screen but black screen expensive than color screen. İ don't no why. Anyway this machine screen so dark than my old kindle. Colors is nice but i don't like it black screen. But, I'm happy with this device. Just need pen. Orjinal smart pen £47, normal pen £38, kindle scribe pen £47 and prime day coming soon. Maybe price down for scribe pen, I'm waiting prime day. Or can you suggestion any pen for me 😅. Steadtler mars jumbo or noris jumbo. What's the difference. Looking same, just color is different. İ bought the wacom one pen. Of course didn't work😅 i sending back today.
