this is like my breakfast .... everytime i turn on the computer ... i come to youtube .. check my favorites ... and see this video .. maybe 2 or 3 times ... i been doin this .. for many many months a bit more than a year .. it makes my day better ! and clears my mind ... it makes me relax .. thank you !

Hey Borneosafari, thanks for the comment. I am aware of quarter elliptical setups on real trucks, but I want to keep the full leaf spring to keep my Mountaineer as close to my 1:1 1981 Toyota as possible. Many people 4-link these but I want to stay true to my roots :) You're High Lift works really really well!!

Yes, I definitely do not have the ability to "gun it", but its a heavy full metal truck and I choose not to do this by design. The motor I am using is some old used 25-turn motor which has pretty decent RPMs, so it does lurch, lurch, lurch ok, but yes, its top speed is very slow! Thanks for the comment!

Thats how a Hilux Crawl with Marlin Crawler .. which in my opinion .. is the way to do it right !! cause you have More control .. just my opinion.

Not really a "toy"... They're hobby grade RC cars... Quite expensive, though, and the model you see in the video was discontinued in the mid 1990's, I believe... But they do make a similar model- the Tamiya F-350/Hilux High Lift.
