A lot of people expect their other person to provide “value”, but never reflect on what value they’re providing. The bottom line is you will never keep someone if all you do and expect is for the other person to be adding to your life
@NewBlueTrue
@NewBlueTrue 3 жыл бұрын
Can you say that for the people in the back? Also, I think if people are just meeting someone asking what value they bring is a little too high of an expectation early on. They should just be enjoying each other’s company. Then maybe if they want to get serious, they can start asking the value question.

I truly i'm grateful that they talk about real communication that people should have to make an healthy relationship, but so many love a dysfunctional one. Both man and woman hold information about their feelings to have control over the other,Which are the root problem of domestic abuse, emotional distress Narcissism that people carry on to their kids and other relationships.

Love Gina's ability to communicate what she is feeling to her partner. Communication is a huge thing for me but I end up dating those who usually don't either know how to or are unwilling to communicate. Many good points were brought up in this conversation and I enjoyed listening.

Ladies, can you please do a podcast on DV? Or maybe abusive relationships in general? Not sure if any of you have ever been in one, but I feel like you can learn a lot through the people around you. Maybe you've noticed things in the past about other people's relationships that have been a huge red flag. I know I certainly have. I think talking about it and not sweeping things under the rug really helps and other people could really benefit from it. I just love the way you ladies approach topics and how open you are with it all. Keep doing what you're doing. Y'all are AMAZING.

15:36, 23:02 I think one thing to discuss and remember is some of us came from very dysfunctional divorced families. Many of us had parents that were emotionally/physically abusive, or emotionally/physically absent. So some of us spent years of younger life truly looking for love in the wrong places; either in similarly abusive people whose abusive behaviour is what we were used to growing up, or trying to earn love from the emotionally absent partners. It took years for some of us to 1 - understand what reciprocated love looks like, 2 - know what we have to offer and therefore stand behind what we deserve with conviction.

80% of all women are competing for the top 20% of the highest earning men. As a man in my 40's I've finally given up. It's not worth trying to meet women anymore. I'm just gonna do what makes me happy and focus on myself.
@TheReMorseCode
@TheReMorseCode 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think that makes sense because you just need to look at people on the streets, or hell, for most people, in their family. Are all your male relatives with a wife/girlfriend 20% in wealth, looks, etc? Are those guys with women walking by you on the street 20%? It falls apart pretty easily just from that standpoint. However, you’re absolutely valid in doing what makes you happy and focusing on yourself if that’s what you desire. I wish you happiness.

If you like jigsaw, you should listen to sloss’s interview on the Modern Wisdom podcast with Chris, where he really goes deep into his thoughts on the problems with modern dating. It is dating viewed from the males side and perspective, which is the other half. Don’t forget that men are also trying to work things out and learning how to start, develop, and sustain a healthy relationship. I highly recommend listening to the Modern Wisdom podcast in general because it gives really great life advice on productivity, good habits, and mental health.

To Jess: The textbook answer to what Bob Marley died of is Skin Cancer, which started in his toe. The REAL answer was: he was pricked by a poisoned pin stuck in his soccer cleets gifted to him by a CIA opp. I know, I know it 'sounds' crazy, but close people know. The cancer was immediately stage 3 or 4, how ironic & he got it right after entering the political fray in Jamaica (which the CIA had backed Seaga). From the outside it sounds ridiculous BUT when you factor in who Bob was & the sizemic revolutionary shift his music sparked, you'll see he had to go, from the elites perspective. Ever notice the most revolutionary people NEVER grow old & always tragically die young...#THINK
