@@caesar7734 You okay man? Serial production of the MiG-29 was launched in 1982 at the Moscow Machine-Building Plant No. 30 Znamya Truda (Tushino Machine-Building Plant), and the MiG-29UB combat training aircraft in Gorky at the aircraft plant No. 30.

@@caesar7734"This plane is actually Ukrainian" - Ukrainian cultists do not have a need for such aircraft. An-225 was part of Russian space program. Ukraine was created by global predictor in 20th century as an anti-Russian project. Russian Bolshevism (do not confuse with Communism) is closing project "Ukraine".

Stars of the show, remember watching it at the time. Mig-29 was the hot news, and the Sukhoi appeared to be just a bigger heavier naval variant, how things change.

4:25 : 27 degrees per second sustained turn rate, F-16C blk 30s is at 25 with the same percent of fuel the sukhoi has, people ignore this video so much.

I was there that day but I do not see myself in the video It was a huge crowd so it would be some kind of miracle if I did show up! It is sad that the An-225 has just been destroyed by the Russians in the invasion of Ukraine at the end of February 2022. We can hope that there is enough remaining of the second, unfinished An-225 to build another one.

If the rumours at the time are true, the MiGs were delivered to the show inside the Antonov.

Yes, a slicked-off SU-27 that makes it unarmed, no weapons, and with no external fuel tanks, at half internal fuel, the SU-27 can do some pretty spectacular maneuvers, that are irrelevant in modern air combat.

you dont really need external fuel tanks on this. its range is 3500km. half tanks would still get you from london to glasgow. there are other videos on YT where you can see the su35 performing with a weapons load.

@@777Outrigger Yeah. Right. And other planes on airshows(F-15, -16 - 22 - 35 EF2000 .. etc ) are fully loaded with internal/external fuel and ammunition... Of course not. They are - exactly as this Su - "empty shells". But the difference is, that Su -27 even as "empty shell" (let say with fuel 30-40%) has still range , enough to make some close range air cover, not like other - just to take off, show 10 min display over airfield and land. To sum up - this maneuvers on airshow are more relevant to reality for Su, than for other planes on airshows

@@lukaszkornatowski8328 - Targeting pods, fuel, bombs, and missiles are all internal with an F-35 . Not so with an SU-27. No extra drag with an F-35 when ready for combat. Full combat radius, not range, of 625 NM (1157 km) with no externals hanging. No external drag, just like in an F-35 airshow.
