A wild drive around Ohio just to find an empty trailer... On this episode of the BigRigTravels Original Series, Bobtail Bob: We start from the yard in the Hilltop Neighborhood on the Westside of Columbus, OH via Columbus City Streets to I-270. Then South/East on I-270 (Columbus Bypass/The Outerbelt/Jack Nicklaus Fwy.) around the Southwest side of Columbus to Alum Creek Dr. Then South on Alum Creek Dr. to a customer in Groveport, OH (Suburb of Columbus) for an empty trailer, but alas, there wasn't one there. So, back onto local streets to the Love's Truck Stop in Lockbourne, OH (Suburb of Columbus) for coffee and to await for instructions on where to go next. After we get an answer, we go back on local streets to the 2nd customer back in Groveport, OH (Suburb of Columbus) for an attempt of getting an empty trailer, but nope. Not here, so we went across the street for the 3rd attempt, still no avail. So back on local streets back to the Love's Truck Stop in Lockbourne, OH (Suburb of Columbus) for fuel and await for answer on where to go next. After that, we head back North on Alum Creek Dr. back to I-270. Then West on I-270 (Columbus Bypass/The Outerbelt/Jack Nicklaus Fwy.) around the Southside of Columbus to Columbus City Streets. Then on Columbus City Streets to the 4th customer in Grove City, OH (Suburb of Columbus), still no empty found. So, back on local streets back to I-270. Then East on I-270 (Columbus Bypass/The Outerbelt/Jack Nicklaus Fwy.) to I-71. Then North on I-71 thru Downtown Columbus (with an excellent shot of Downtown Columbus and while merging with I-70) to the 5th customer in Marengo, OH, but surprisingly, no empty available. So, back South on I-71 back into the Columbus, OH Metro Area and thru Columbus (while passing thru Downtown Columbus, merging with I-70 and with a good shot of Downtown Columbus) to OH-56. Then East on OH-56 to US-62 in Mount Sterling. Then West on US-62 to OH-753. Then South on OH-753 to the 6th customer in Washington Court House, OH for an empty trailer...and turns out, we FINALLY got one!! After we hooked up to the empty trailer, we head back South on OH-753 to US-35. Then West on US-35 to OH-435. Then West on OH-435 to I-71. Then South on I-71 to OH-123. Then North on OH-123 to OH-63 in Lebanon. Then West on OH-63 to OH-4. Then South on OH-4 to Liberty-Fairfield Rd. Then North on Liberty-Fairfield Rd. to the shipper in Trenton, OH to pick up a preloaded trailer. Then back South on Liberty-Fairfield Rd. to OH-4. Then North on OH-4 to OH-63. Then East on OH-63 to OH-123 in Lebanon. Then South on OH-123 to the Pilot Truck Stop in Lebanon, OH where Steve ends for the day.
