The pedal is neat and all but, can we talk about how excellent the playing and tone is in this video?

Exactly, this is what I was thinking the whole video. His tone and feel are next level. I’d like to know what tuning he’s using as well. Reminds me of the same style as Ariel Posen and Joey Landreth

Nice! This is actually a guitar pedal I would want! I've always liked guitar pedals such as my Top-10 favorites: - *Distortion* - *Uni-Vibe* - *Flanger* - *Chorus* - *Phaser* - *Delay* - *Reverb* - *Wah* - *Tremelo* - and *Tuner* pedals But after hearing what you did in this video a pitch shifter would be a really nice addition!

I think I use a regular Bigsby to rise to a note about 10% of the time - and this demo is 90% using it for that articulation. I liked seeing the palm-pedal-like note rise. That was actually pretty cool, and I don’t recall seeing the upper lever in the previous images. I use a Bigsby more to wiggle a bit of vibrato - or drop and rise quickly on a long note for each of two or three quarter or 8th note counts - typical twang/rockabilly. Will be curious to see if these articulations are in the next demo.

Interesting, but you would have to be very fleet of foot to do the patented 'rapid fire stinging vibrato' that John Cippolina used regularly at the end of a dip or flutter, such as the intro to WHO DO YOU LOVE on the HAPPY TRAILS album. I saw John play up close back in the day - nobody since has touched that unique manual ennunciation (especially while using a thumb and finger picks). Clever, but not as expressive as using your hand (or pinky) on the Bigsby bar.

Nice. Reminds me a bit of Leo Kotke guitar playing with that effect.

This would be insane, and I mean, insane in the hands of an experienced keyboardist on Fender Rhodes or Yamaha CP-70 for instance. Like holyshit. Pitch-bending a piano that's not a synth...!!!

Another pedal in the pedalboard so another 9V power supply instead of a classic trem which is already on the strat- Ibanez etc. create something to emulate franklin pedal steel
@donnellwalah56902 жыл бұрын
Neat idea for many players. But a hand is much more versatile and nuance capable than a foot and you can physically move anywhere you like with a guitar mounted Bigsby. There is a lot more to a Bigsby than a "dip" here and there. Spontaneous rapid flutters for example make the one-on one immediacy and infinite expressiveness of a mounted Bigsby means no digital 'interpretation' of the players creativity. God taught us this by making only one John Cippolina... The original Bigsby is the preferred tiller on our 6 stringed sailboats, not a big wheel sent through 'we know' best' circuit boards. YMMV
@thewickedwizard2 жыл бұрын
I prefer my vibratos to not go out of tune. This pedal is every bit as expressive as a guitar mounted bigsby and is capable of doing even more. Until you have used one of these pedals you can't judge it. I've had mine for 3 days now and my guitar still isn't out of tune.
