VIXX is back with upgraded ‘horror sexy’.
The second part of the ‘VIXX 2016 CONCEPTION’, [Hades].
VIXX showed unique and vivid style through the 5th single album [Zelos] last April and they are back with the second part of ‘VIXX 2016 CONCEPTION’, [Hades],
‘VIXX 2016 CONCEPTION’ is a trilogy project that VIXX will be running throughout this year; this project is under the name of ‘Ker’ which in Greek, means ‘fate’ and ‘ruin’. There will be some epic story based on these keywords.
Last [Zelos] album took ‘God of rivalry, competition and jealousy’ in Greek myth as a motif, and talked about a man who failed to win a love-competition and his emotions through vivid colors. This [Hades] album’s motif is ‘God of the underworld’ and is talking about the man going to the underworld to make love potion so that he could make ‘the girl’ fall for him. VIXX will upgrade their matchless identity, ‘concept-dol’, through this dark-concept album.
‘Thorn bush’ is the key item for [Hades] album. This represents the rule that in the underworld, you must bleed in order to make love potion; which explains that anyone who goes through this process gets the ‘evil eye’ on back of one’s hand. Thorn bush appears in the music video, photos etc. as the symbol for this album, [Hades].
The title track ‘Fantasy’ is produced by the producing team, Devine-Channel with Kei Lim and Ryan Kim at the head of the team. They recently worked with BTS, EXO, Taeyeon, Tiffany etc., getting many attention from K-pop fans. ‘Fantasy’ starts with Beethoven ‘Moonlight Sonata’, making the mood of the song very dark and conceptual. It expresses six men’s desperation in a sad but dark way, by the lyrics and the high note in the hook. Urban and polished side of VIXX can be expected from this album.
Choreographer Keone & Mariel Madrid worked with VIXX for the first time for this album. The choreography shows VIXX’s dark and powerful style as well as new and unique moves that VIXX haven’t done before. This change will be a turning point in VIXX’s career.
Music video is about a man going to the underworld to make love potion; the main storyline of ‘Ker’ project could be seen in the music video. As this album holds the key for this project, many elements were used to give hints.
The second part of ‘Ker’ project, [Hades].
Six men expressing lunatic desperation in horror mood is something that only VIXX can do. This album not only upgrades VIXX’s matchless identity but also raises expectations on the next album.

I love VIXX for their concepts just like everyone else but what I love the most about VIXX is their choreography... They always tell such a strong and clear story with their movements. I don't need to know the lyrics in order to see and feel the sorrow and frustration that this song presents. Thats something I feel VIXX has over most Kpop artist. Most of their choreography is pure theatrics and is always ALWAYS done extremely well.

my grandma just joined the fandom n became a starlight on her own lmao she called me saying that she listened to a really beautiful song called "Fantastic" from a boygroup, she told me it was bts singing(as she only knew about bts) and i told her that bts doesn't have a song called Fantastic so i showed her Fantastic Baby as it was the only song that came into my mind and she said it was not that, then, while searching on the group where she found the video i started playing Fantasy and she was like "THIS IS THE SONG THESE ARE THE BOYS" and i was like "grandma, this is VIXX, and the song it's called Fantasy, not Fantastic" and she was like "you know idk English" lmao so after that she kept saying "why didn't u tell me about this group too" and i was like "i was about to, but i didn't wanted u to fall deep in kpop after becoming an army" and after that i showed her my biases, Hakyeon and Taekwoon and now she's in love with vixx. How hard the dance is doesn´t matter as much as the duration of the time you have to dance. When you watch other groups dance practices you will notice that everyone breathes at the end because dancing for 3 minutes without a break is hard, but you´re right, the dance is very tiring

Same Leo was actually the one who got me into kpop back in 2015 after just 1 listen to Beautiful Liar and that's how I got my ultimate bias and ultimately group

To be honest, I've been more in a hip hop/rap faze since I've found K Pop(so I only really know groups like Topp Dogg, BAP and BTS, etc), but this song came on in my car while I was driving and I forced my friend to take a pic off what it was so I could look it up later, and wow this song gave me chills. Why have I never heard of these guys before? Their dancing is really great from what I've seen(which is only this video but I'm definitely going to watch more), and in this video, their dance is a little eerie, which I feel are purposefully unsettling with the contrast of movements both extremely fast and slow that seem to pulse..which needs an impressive amount of muscle control(and as a gymnast and someone who participated in a very hardcore marching band, I know both dance and muscle control) and it's amazingly executed and can I just mention whoever that singer is with the extremely powerful voice.. wow, they, whoever they are, have my heart. While I'm not going to stop stanning my hip-hop groups, I think I've just had my eyes opened to a whole new world. Guess that means I'll be committing myself to hours of video watching so I can learn their names, lol.

I have a lot of respect for VIXX. Their music is art. Of course, their record label controls what kind of songs they perform, but it seems to me that VIXX really feel the music, they live and breathe it. It's just beautiful.
