You've filmed some epic sunrises before, but this one ranks waaaay up there. I love Big Slide. I did it in memory of a friend who had passed away, used his trekking poles. It's a special one for me. That view of the Great Range! Loving the Winter Series, obviously. Keep em coming!

Good job ladies and gentlemen! Jonathan, great to see that you teamed up with James Appleton! Both of you are great resources for hiking the ADK’s. It’s going to take away a lot of surprises and concerns of what’s around the next corner for me (& others I’m sure)! Great job! Thanks again! May God bless! ☦️

Great video, Jonathan! At least James "wasn't missing much" when his glasses frosted over! Lol...I'm one of the PA guys from the Seward Range in Dec. Big Slide is a potential bonus hike for our March trip (my hiking partner Nevin already has it). Your video has me stoked to do this one!

Winter really accentuates the name of the mountain when you descend it. I once brought a crazy carpet up and got some real speed on the descent.

In the Cascade/Porter video you seemed a little down...glad you got your mojo back! Climbing those ladders in winter...how? With the snow do you just basically go over the top of them or do you have to dig in to find the ladder rungs? I think I mentioned in your October video of Big Slide that I climbed that within a day of you doing so...looks amazing in winter. Keep up the great work!

Did you do this in Jan 2020 ? Surprised there is so much snow. Only needed micro spikes for Table Top on Jan 24th, 2020.

Nice video, do you do anything special to keep your camera and batteries from freezing?

Outside Chronicles I keep my extra one in my pants pocket. But my camera is pretty crazy strong. Nikon Full Frame

@@JonathanZaharek I have issues with my GoPro in real cold weather. I have to keep it in my jacket. I know you use a full body, that would be harder to keep in a jacket.

Neither. Right below the summit.

The high peaks are 10 times prettier in the winter.
