Why not query BigTable with BigQuery? instead of Spark.

Big table is a no SQL offering. The schema is not defined, where as in Big Query the schema is defined. They are 2 different storage classes.

Now you can do so .creating the bigqueey table as an external table and pointing it to bigtable.. cloud.google.com/bigquery/external-data-bigtable

When you update a row you replace the old version with the new version of the data. That's what "multiple versions" is for.
