Man this kind of tractor had been around for ages with the after market Zuidberg tracks and it didn’t do shit. Also the tracks are too narrow the Zuidberg kit will give you more for your money!

@MT8654 жыл бұрын
Its not really revolutionised the industry as not everyone is operating one. The X9 is not a new concept it’s just an improvement on what’s already in the market place. The 8RX is the same, not a new idea as aftermarket track companies offer kits for a fixed frame 4 track tractor. It’s just that JD sees opportunity to market this feature to its customers as an complete company offering. I’m not saying that the X9 or the 8RX isn’t a bad product. It’s just not a new idea, it’s just a major player in the market offering a factory solution.

Thanks for the great vid. KZbin, 3 ads in the first 4 minutes. I wonder what pressure those tracks put on the ground. Maybe those who work out how many ads there should be could look under the tracks while it’s still moving so they can tell me.

How durable are the rubber tracks on these large tractors , do they need to be changed very often ? Are they comparable in cost and durable to a standard tractor tire ? They must have some advantages over standard tires as you see so many new tractors with them .
@mattcraztex99404 жыл бұрын
A lot of that has to do with limiting the amount of compaction in the soil, Tracks give the vehicle a bigger foot print allowing it to compress the soil less and not inhibit crop growth.
@hookmaster11094 жыл бұрын
Tracks are a $60-90,000 option on big tractors and they have maintenance requirements Tyres do not. they also cost at least 4 times the price to replace. In certain conditions they have better traction and cause less field damage (ruts and compaction) than tyres do. Take your choice and pay the price.
@piperdoug4284 жыл бұрын
You have to ask if the price is reflected in its need, whether the leap from a fixed frame 2 track to a 9RX is worth it.

What’s the advantage of fixed frame vs articulated ? Case rowtrac vs 8RX ?
@hookmaster11094 жыл бұрын
Smoother steering inputs from autosteer and a possible lighter field weight are the main ones. But the lower HP 4 track machines from Case or JD are probably the biggest competitors for the 8RX.
@hookmaster11094 жыл бұрын
Ironically the biggest direct threat to the 8RX410 is the 9RX420.
@Ellison89Brett4 жыл бұрын
The atriculated Case RowTrac is in the Steiger series, which would compare the the 9R series from Deere. A Case competitor to the Deere 8RX would be the Magnum RowTrac.

John Deere almost did a great job with the 8RX. Except it's under powered, the 370 should be the smallest model and 420, 470 and 520hp variants should be offered. The 9RX should be 470 570 670 and 770hp. Also none of them should have or need DEF or DPF, that crap is only going to increase costs and reduce reliability. These DEF DPF vehicles are going to be worth scrap prices in 5 years, how does that work out for the environment?

@GW Are you familiar with Daedong Tier 4 engines? I watched a video about them yesterday. I won't post a link here. But you can copy/paste this into KZbin search bar: Daedong Tier 4 Kioti Engines & Emission systems Explained . Great video there about those engines and their features.
@robtissue4 жыл бұрын
@Hookmaster Isn’t Deere’s Final Tier 4 emissions system now fairly mature and proven ... it was first introduced in 2012? Are 2015 Deere tractors with FT4 now selling for scrap value? Regardless, given FT4 emission standards, there is no real alternative to it at present.
@glencaple38884 жыл бұрын
@@robtissue Only reason I brought it up is yesterday I found a local tractor dealer selling a Bobcat 2035. I wanted to know who made the engine. So I typed it into the YT search bar and that video came up.
