The trailer lights check has saved me at least twice now with my travel trailer. Once It gave a notification for a brake light fault after I had hooked up and checked my lights but before pulling off my site. At first I thought there was something wrong with my truck, but when I checked the brake lights a second time, the right brake light wasn't lighting up like my truck said. As it turned out I hadn't put the 7 pin all the way in and one of the pins has lost contact after moving the trailer to unstick wheel chocks. I wouldn't have caught that without the truck telling me. A highly underrated feature.

Beautiful truck and tech. It's amazing how a little detail like a 12-volt outlet really means to some people. I have an inexpensive 12-volt air compressor that is mandatory for all of my trips. I've extended the power cable to reach back to the trailer tires when hitched. For the truck, the trailer and the bikes that outlet is priceless. Another great video JD.

From 1986 to 2019 I have had five super duties, regular cab work trucks, because I plow snow and everything else and never wanted a four-door… that interior on that four-door F-450 is amazing. Totally shocking!

The one light on the cluster that always annoyed me is the high beams indicator. Its that awful bright blue indicator would be the brightest thing on my dash. I disassembled my cluster and lightly markered over the indicator. SCALES ON THE TRUCK!!!! That is freaking AWESOME!!!!

The new tech comes with a new price. In the last few years, the F450's price has gone up about 20%, depending on the trim. An optioned Limited is over $110k now.

I added gooseneck retractable steps cab heater engine block heater FX4 and some other stuff and I'm right under $108000. Very happy though for what I'm getting. I ordered this exact truck and color in October and we're all waiting on Limited production to start soon.

I believe JD has literally found a unicorn...... These trucks don't really exist. Dealers cant order one in this trim right now and customers that already did order back in Oct 22 still don't have build dates 8 months plus later. So nice of Ford to show off a truck they cannot or will not actually build for customers.

Waiting since last Feb for F350 DRW 6.7 Limited and switched to F450 Limited on Oct 28 and still waiting with clean but on hold from ford. Priority 10. If I don't get it by labor day, then I would rather get my truck in 2024.

It's ridiculous, reviews of these are just starting to come out now but I asked a dealer about ordering an F250 Lariat and they couldn't get me the sport package (almost a deal breaker) or the 5th wheel prep (total deal breaker). How can you not have 5th wheel prep available for your heavy duty trucks, that's the reason half the people that buy these things buy these things 🤣

@@edwardstroko4665Mostly trailer specific navigation keeps you from going places your trailer won’t fit. It will avoid roads that aren’t wide enough or incapable of supporting the weight and away from bridges that are too low.

I drove an f350 hot shotting local deliverys and it had crank windows and a one speaker in dash radio. I was told at the time I was lucky because the truck I had ,had air conditioning! Lol! This was over 20 years ago. Times have certainly changed with trucks . Now there more decked out than luxury cars.

Great video MASTER of never showing your face on camera! I have a 2022 Ford F-450 in the platinum trim and in the same exact color. Love the truck, however Ford really knocked this one out the park. I wanted the 2023, since we tow a couple of 5th Wheels. We couldn’t wait though. The features on this truck are all some that I really REALLY want. Wish I could trade mine in for a new one.

Biggest issue I had with the pickup box on my 2017 was the box was taller than my older trucks and even with my trailer adjusted I still hit the bed on my stock trailer. Do they have a way to connect to the truck through wifi like tractors where if it breaks down they can give you an idea of what happened so if your not close to a repair shop you might be able to go to the local auto parts store and get going.

Ford finally woke up to technology. They always lacked it. I bought a 2023 XLT F350 with the 7.3 gas. Very impressed to say the least. This is about my eighth Ford truck over the years so it’s not anything new to me but they’re improvements are

Awesome truck, JD. Too much money. I’m looking on Autotrader and limited s are average $90-$100 k. Even the “cheap” ones are just crazy. 1200 pound ft of torque? I’d love to see a long term test of this truck doing that much weight and see what falls apart and I’m guessing all that stress on the engine is gonna make that $100k truck junk in a year. Try pulling equipment behind a f650 with this engine and it lets ya know real quick it’s too much. Again, not worth that much money.

The engines in the medium duty trucks are de-rated for longevity. They don't make 1200 Lbs/ft. They'll last longer, but don't feel as good as the 450.

I did the same deciding between a 350 or a 450 (2021). I liked the bigger brakes and wheels on the 450 but ultimately I went with the 350 because owning a horse ranch and hauling a 43' RV I needed the extra hauling and towing capacity. And now 2 1/2 years later I am thinking of trading in my 350 and again going thru the same decision but I believe I will stay with the 350 BUT going to add bigger wheels and tires on my own. I am a HUGE fan of BF or Goodyear All-Terrain tires so will be adding those plus I am adding airbags all around. TKS for the video.

Bigger brakes, thicker axles shafts, G rated tires and the biggest advantage FOR ME was the turning radius...giving up a couple hundred pounds in payload ON PAPER made the 450 a no brainer for me. The only reason I'd go 350 is if I decided to go with the gasser....I'll put up with the more expensive PSD for the ridiculous difference in power.

These DRW HD’s are hard to get in any model year with less than 100k miles. When they come up they are sold within a day or two. New ones like this are next to impossible to obtain. I showed up at the Chevy place just Hail Mary pass and found a golden goose 2024 HiC. Pretty much had to buy it on the spot, no negotiation. Luckily they were not asking over MSRP. I wish you all the best in your hunt. These tow caps are getting crazy high. Where does it end?I don’t want to see one of these going down the road with 40k behind it. Risky business with unskilled drivers behind the wheel.

I always say this: At some point these trucks need to have special licenses to drive. If any Joe Shmoe can hit up the Ford Dealer and tow 40K pounds that day with no experience, what's to stop him? Not to mention the truck weighs, if I remember correctly, 4 TONS. That's a lot of weight empty.

No, the frame is modified to support the additional loads but is very similar to the previous truck

Well, to be fair if I had that truck I would assume it has upfitter switches which means I would just cut the wire for the strobe light and I'd wire it into the upfitter switch instead of messing with having cords running all over the truck...but that is just me.

Too bad you can’t get many of the features that make that truck a Platinum or Limited. They’ve pulled the heated steering wheel, multi-contour seats (again), and now the CHMSL. And the credit they give you is laughable. I’d like to upgrade, but I believe I’ll be keeping my ‘22 Platinum

They are very good trucks it's just the way the government is regulating these emissions that's why these trucks stay in shops. When my warranty is out I'm going to delete it and want to worry about that no more. Then the truck will do it is sopped to do. I met a guy that has 2015 Duramax did the delete the truck has almost 650 thousand miles on it. Use it every day for his business and he pulls. He is on his third transmission he said it goes around 220 thousand miles
