I like when a bedroom A/C fan runs continuously. Otherwise when the fan restarts, it jars me awake. Plus it provides a background hum that covers campground noise.

Wow, "Cool" that is exactly the results I was hoping for. We boondock often and run 600 watt solar and 4 Li batteries. The challenge has always been very limited capability to use AC. With these new units only drawing 1000 Watt range, we could finally use the AC's for a couple of hours to sleep on hot nights and without having to use a generator. Great review!

Not all residential mini splits have fans that run all the time. We own three different Lennox units that completely turn off fan and compressor when desired temp is reached. Kick back on when temp falls 2 or 3 degrees. We absolutely love them.

@@2hotscottpro The first one we had installed back in 2016. Its here at home and is a 1 ton unit. Rated at 23.5 SEER. We liked it so well we had one installed in my garage shop and another at our camp the following year. They were both 1.5 ton units with a slightly higher SEER. I cant remember the exact but it was mid 20's. The most amazing thing about them is the ability to blow 90+ degree air when its 10 degrees outside. No heat strips just heat pumps. The new ones are rated for below zero and even higher seer.

What's the wattage when 100% power and Turbo on? Trying to determine max draw.
@k6jpc6 ай бұрын
JD can you compare the power draw using the different modes? I see there is Normal, GEAR 75%, GEAR 50%, and ECO. Sounds like it controls the power draw of the compressor. I wonder how those modes translate with your Bluetti power station? "ECO/GEAR - Function Toggles between ECO and GEAR settings to control the power consumption of the unit to: ECO → GEAR 75% → GEAR 50% → Cancel"

You should have change the setting to drop how much power it pulls and checked your watts. Those have an option to decrease the power draw. It should be in the manual. I think instead of saying 75 it says 50 on the read out.

I appreciate your efforts in these videos, but for the people who are interested in fully off grid applications, can you do some "real world" testing? Possibly overnight kilowatt hour testing compared to standard air conditioner unit. Temperature readings. Your reviews are good and raise and answer good questions, but on this one, I think we need a little more science. Thank you.... wanted to add, I was disappointed to see that an air conditioning unit that probably costs 3 grand comes with the same remote my 500 dollar mini split does, but I guess it works.

@BTBRVReviews6 ай бұрын
So, you can feed up to 1500watts I believe in BUT that's a TON of solar panels and a very sunny day. More realistic would be a portable solar panel system that's between 400-800watts. Would take about 4-5 hours to fill of your not using the system.
