Thekua Recipe by Chef Ranveer Brar in an Airfryer
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Preheat time: 7 minutes at 180°c
Cooking time: 10-12 minutes at 175°c
Serves: 2-4
Ingredients
For Syrup
1 cup Water
1 cup Jaggery
For Dough
2 cups Whole wheat flour
½ cup Semolina, powdered
A pinch of Salt
1 tsp Cardamom powder
1 tsp Fennel seeds
1 cup Dry coconut, grated
¼ cup Desiccated coconut
3-4 tbsp Ghee
Prepared Jaggery Syrup
1 tsp Ghee (optional & greasing)
Process
For Syrup
In a saucepan, add water, jaggery and boil it for a few minutes on medium flame until jaggery dissolves.
Keep it aside for further use.
For Dough
In a parat, add whole wheat flour, semolina, a pinch of salt, cardamom powder, fennel seeds, dry coconut, desiccated coconut, ghee and rub it well.
Add prepared jaggery syrup and bind it well. Do not over mix.
Make lemon size balls and keep it aside for further use.
For Thekua
Preheat the Philips airfryer for 7 minutes at 180°c.
Apply ghee on thekua mold, place prepared dough and give it a desired shape..
Place the thekua in the airfryer and cook it for 10-12 minutes at 175°c.
Transfer it to a serving dish and serve.
