Thanks for the video, can we upgrade the firmware for any one of the hardware like primary or secondary? (I believe the HA must be in the same versions right)And please guide us how to configure preempt...

Regarding the preempt configuration, you need to setup different priorities for each FGT. The higher will become the primary unit, By default its value is 128. You can do so by the CLI in: config system ha set priority 200 Then you need enable the override feature, by default is disabled: config system ha set override enable You need to this in both units since the functionality doesn't synchronize. Regarding the versions, yes, it's a pre-requisite to have the same version so that the cluster can get sync.
