I'd love to know whether all these builds have ended up as your bikes, are built for friends, or whether these are customer bikes (ie your setup is a pro shop, rather than as i imagine, a sweeeeetly kitted out home garage) - either way, I'm always blown away by the end result....one of my fave bike porn / garage porn channels ... word! 👍🏻👍🏻 Also love how on the post build edit the camera pan usually clips your identity - it ads to the mystery of "who is Wavey Wheels"....classy

Bike of mine has similar white frame with no bosses, no decals. No names on it. I thought about spraying junctions in different color but then decided lots of marks and scratches it has (all done by previous owner, frame is only one year old) give it enough character. This frame was an eyeopener - I started to like white as a frame color.

Good question. I’d say most likely yes, mainly because if it’s un branded they wouldn’t know what it is. Quite a few people remove the branding from surly or similar bikes for that exact reason.

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
@bsowhat3 жыл бұрын
I would have bought inexpensive MTB pinned flat pedals off Amazon over the cheap plastic pedals in your build. Then you could have skipped the nylon foot straps.
