I feel like this has a cotton candy/bubble gum ice cream kinda vibe to it. Lol.

I like when you go through options. I can almost see you agreeing with my head shaking. We need a bike fleet check… should be fun to walk through the bikes!

lol thanks! Here's an older video going through what we had at that moment in time. May be time for an update. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIqZlIOsf6mVd5I

Yep! Watched this again. Probably won't be the last time. I think this is my favorite of your collection. Did a great job on it Randy. // My 'new' LaJolla came today.

Thanks. I'' be watching to see what you do with the new one.

No way man this was exactly what I'm in the midst of compiling parts for and was trying to figure out the gear set up and rear brakes for an old frame. You have shown the light once again... Thanks Randy for another great video 👍🤙

Still my fav-bike of yours. Your Trek 8300 a close second.

Thanks. It's currently striiped and stashed away. I will build it up again sometime.

Pretty sweet ride! I'm not sure I've ever seen a set of bars that straight. Looks like they barely have any sweep at all. Cockpit feel will make or break a bike's feel. Thanks for bringing us along Randy. Hopefully the heat lets up for ya this week. We have 1 more day, tomorrow, of 100 plus temps, and then we are set for upper 80's and low 90's the rest of the week.
@Locojoe Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yeah these bars almost feel as if they have a negative sweep. Probably exaggerated too since I lengthened them. I think still 100s here most of the week. Enjoy your cool weather lol.

You could build a new bike a month to ride with all the frames and parts you have. Kinda cool instead of buying a new bike just build another bike.
@Locojoe Жыл бұрын
Yeah I've often thought that all the money I've nickled and dimed away on these bikes I could have built up a really nice bike or two but I think its the variety and tinkering that partially motivates me to ride. Thanks as always Timothy.

As always, the rougher it looks the better I like it. I don't know why. I've got 6 bikes, the only ones I seem to ride are just pitiful.!!! LOL
@Locojoe Жыл бұрын
lol yeah more character I guess. I rarely ride my nicer, newer bikes. Thanks for watching!

Had to watch this again. So, ya don't know the brand. Okay. I'll keep searching. You know Randy--with a smaller front sprocket, you could ride this bike on a lot of the trails in Moab, Utah. Yes? Someday? Maybe? 🙂

Hey Randy, About that stem situation.... I think you could get an adapter to put a clamp on stem on there. I've gotten them in some pretty small stem i.d. sizes before. Hope you and Nova are doing well.
@Locojoe Жыл бұрын
No sooner than I got the video finished and uploaded I found another stem I like better... well at least the looks of it. Still limited on bar choices. I never looked to see if I could find an adapter in the small size I need. I will. Worst case I might try grinding one down I already have to the right diameter. Thanks!

Now, that looks pretty good. Just in time for Halloween, too. I like those tires and wheels as well. Good job Randy
@Locojoe Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I didn't really plan on the Halloween look but the orange was the only color I had a full can of so I went with it.
@rainbowhiker Жыл бұрын
@Locojoe I've always wanted an orange bike. Still do. I keep threatening to tear one down and repaint it, but--haven't. It looks good. I like the pumpkin 🎃 valve caps. // HEY! WAIT A SECOUND. One question, what is it called and where can I buy the pin for the rear brake caliper?
@Locojoe Жыл бұрын
It's the part that holds the brake pad off of a cantilever style brake. I don't think you can buy that individual part and would have to buy the whole cantilever brake unless maybe your local bike shop or coop has some laying around.
