Then use the chain cleaning brush to clean the chain from all sides. BS, those brushes designed to non sealed chains ,the hard bristles shorten the life of the O-rings... the cleaning should be primary done by dissolving the gunk , that's why it recommended to clean with kerosine , it's runs down with the dirt
