Bike Chain Replacement two ways | KMC X8 Silver

The original chain got really rusty in my rainy European weather. So I decided to replace the chain with a KMC X8 Silver one. 114 links

Thanks for the video. I tried swapping in the KMC X8 EPT today. The chain is about 8 links shorter than the original. I got less ground clearance although it's not a big deal. The tension is stronger so that the chain doesn't fall off that easily anymore. I just ordered KMC e8 which should be about the same length as the original. We'll see how it goes.

Did you have to adjust your chain length or was this an exact fit out of the box?

Exact fit in my case. But I also upgraded my front crankset with a bigger one.

Only the coating and materials I think. Supposed to be more rust repellent. (But in practice it still rust)
