I use my phone for commuting around my neighborhood with a Peak Design phone bike mount, and when Im doing long road distances I use my Garmin.

Very helpful paaji, as always. Koi video-shideo ni paaya recently...sab khair hai? Any tips on what sort of bike or cycling insurance to buy and benefits?

All good Suraj Paaji, videos to resume after Ramadan Insha’Allah. On bike insurance I don’t have anything specific as the bike is with me all the time (even at home in my living room) and when I do cycling events they provide insurance in the entrance fee. However, I highly recommend you become a member of British Cycling they have a number of benefits such as discounts on cycling products, you can join cycling clubs / events and they provide you some legal help if you are involved in an accident. I will probably get bike / travel insurance when I start doing adventure cycling for that specific period.

Let me know what is your preference a phone or bike computer for navigating your rides?

When the trade-in value of your phone drops it may be easier to use it as a bike computer. Phone hardware is much more powerful and the software can be designed to use power economically. On cheaper phones the waterproofing may not be so good but other than that I think phones should be fine if the software developers design specifically for them. Rather like how phones have replaced iPods and cameras.

I understand your point, anyhow from a cycling perspective its the individual's choice what they prefer phone or bike computer to navigate and manage their rides.
