This is episode 10 of our bike Hunt. we set out for bikes that put a massive grin on our face. the fast bikes did that but the finances didn't suit. now we have best of both, massive grin factor and a 150mpg Monkey machine!

I’ve done nearly 12k miles on my monkey and every mile has been enormous fun, sold my other bike a Triumph Tiger as don’t use it anymore!

Just bought our Monkey's as a second bike to our tourers (Tiger GT & 1200 GS). Great bikes to play around on and share the annual mileage, might even do some short tours on them 😊

I have a blue Monkey bike called “Clyde” just had its 2nd service done. It’s my 2nd bike to do trips to shops on, country roads and cafe trips. Absolutely love it and have no intention on ever selling it, what ever bike I get in the future the Monkey stays. It is cheap to run, insure and makes sense as a little run around. In traffic you can filter so easy. Stick a yoshimura exhaust on and people think a Harley is coming through and move out your way 😂 Also one thing, for some reason Honda set the bite point right at the end of the leaver, not so bad if you have big hands, but can make it difficult to control at slow speed. I adjusted mine to have early bite and made it much better, I had to tell the service person to leave the clutch alone.

I really enjoyed your videos and even though you didn't buy any of the bikes you tried, the dealers still get some benefit from them. So no real loss to them. However the choice of a pair of Honda Groms seems a strange choice. You could have bought a pair of Honda CB300R'S for another £1200.00. I ride a CB300R and it's perfect for me. It will do anything you need. Even the country lanes have speed Cameras these days. Did you try a CB300R? It's a great little bike and only £600 more than a Grom. Really looking forward to your next joint purchase. Enjoy and stay safe whatever you ride.

WAHOO Got a love a Monkey 🐒🐵🛵 especially a yellow one.Also the thick comfy seat & chuck a pipe on they're even better.They're also great for green laning & I saw a old guy riding down Highway in the countryside & I was running my Trident 🔱 in & was doing 80kmh.I was at side road when HE went past & I laughed & waved & HE waved back & was laughing & had the biggest grin 😁on HIS face.I was going in same direction so followed him & he was going 80-85kmh & I rode with him for about 40km.HE must of been riding from Napier to somewhere & next town was 40km away when I turned off & left him & gave him a toot.He would of done about 80km & still in middle of nowhere.HE probably took that Highway as it the secondary Highway & less traffic & rough as guts but Monkey 🐵🛵 soaked it up.

I don't think 2 penny farthings with lawn mower engines would have surprised me more🙂🙃. Plus points: hire a van and put them in the back for an holiday: not outside as you say in the conservatory: cheap to run and lots of fun. If you want to blow some cobwebs away there's going to be lots of open days or you could hire a couple of bixe for a few days. Look forward to seeing you out and about on them.
