If getting in and out is a bit of a hassle that handles are needed, you might consider a Greenspeed Magnum- the seat being adjustable for angle and height makes for a very easy trike to enter/exit. My big wheel model makes no seat noises after 1500km use. I'm 54 and 117kg, no disabilities so have no issue standing unassisted from the lowest seat height. It can go 100mm (4") higher for those who need it. Solid trike with 160kg rider limit, so tough for loading up touring. I too fitted a basket on the rack- a chest freezer basket and zip tied a rabobank sports bag in it for shopping and to keep my phone secure, not to mention tools and spare batteries etc.

We both use the handles to attach things to, plus I use them to get on and off the bike because of my arthritis. Good for you for fitting the basket on it!

Nicely kitted out. I noticed no foot retention on the pedals. Should have something to prevent foot from slipping off.

These seam to work the best for Laurie try a bunch of options. The aggressive MB pedals tend to hold feet firmly in place and she hasn't had any issues with her feet slipping off. She is not a aggressive ride .

We've done a Q & A which answers a lot of questions people have had

I have the same Smokey Mountain bags in black. They are awesome. I ride a Catrike 569 (Orange) and route the straps behind the seat back cushion. Her pedals are nice but she really needs some kind of retention. My wife had TerraTrike heel retention straps on her pedals. Leg suck will not be pleasant should it happens. Nice overall setup. Where do the stand assist bars attach?
@lauriedevere49202 жыл бұрын
We will make a video addressing this issue, because we've had questions about it, and also showing you where the stand assist bars are attached.

We did a Q & A which answers this question, among others. I'm sorry, I didn't mention the bags. I forgot, I'm sorry.

It's nice that the orientation of the controls keeps the cables away from the riders legs. I love my terratrike, but the brake and shifter cables face in and brush my legs sometimes.
@lauriedevere4920 Жыл бұрын
I'm glad that mine don't brush my legs. That would have put my off from buying it
@damonthomas8955 Жыл бұрын
@@lauriedevere4920 the cables are not too bad, but the hydraulic lines on my second one are right in there, one has actually kinked from hitting a leg, not sure who's.

Do you know if the Catrike trail comes with 26 inch wheels
@lauriedevere4920 Жыл бұрын
You can get a hold of Catrikes and ask them. I do believe they provide 26 inch wheels
