Hey man ! Congrats for your trip ! I have a question, I live in HK and would like to do a bicycle trip in Asia (thailand, laos, Vietnam or Malaysia). Do you rent your bicycle somewhere or did you buy on the country ? do you have any tips if I would like to do this type of trip ?

Hi! Cheers! We bring our bikes with us, as we've been riding all around the world. We have some other videos from all those countries too, as well as one that gives tips for riding there specially! As you live in HK youl be somewhat used to the heat, which is the main thing when riding there, so just stay hydrated and don't try push yourself too far.. Out of those countries, Thailand has been our favourite to ride. Let us know if you have any specific questions on where you decide to go!

Good to see another episode from you. Seeing those monkeys and dogs from other vids, can I ask about rabies vaccination (if you’ve had one that is). Did you get them in Australia before leaving home or on the road? I’m starting my trip in June through Europe and eventually to SE Asia 😊

Cheers! No we didn't get any rabies vaccinations. We did consider it, mainly before India, due to the high rate there, but didn't end up getting them. We've been fine obviously, only once a monkey really threatened us, and dogs are all bark

How do you plan you're route phone bike computer or app?

We use komoot, as well as checking if there are any good trails in the area we are riding in. And if komoot is taking us on a lot of roads that look busy, we try check if there's better options with google maps street view if possible. We find it easiest to plan ahead for a week or so, then look closer at routes each day

No, we use the app, komoot. It's the best we've found for bike touring, takes you on some nice quiet roads, sometimes on some pretty wild trails

We use quick patches when the puncture isn't too big, otherwise we change for a new tube 👍

We take them apart and put them in a box to go on the plane as luggage. You can see us putting them back together in the airport at the start of our first video in UAE 🙂
