I really enjoyed the video! Wonderful scenery and really nice bike paths! The video was very informative as well in terms of knowing what to expect on the route. I will be probably traveling the same route in late September. Do you know what the weather is usually like in late September or early October? Thank you in advance for you answer.

Thanks for your nice comments! We travelled in early September and then it was still quite warm, about 30C in the lowlands and 20 in the mountains. It was just a bit chilly in the morning in the mountains. It will be a bit colder in late September, but please contact some local tourist agency for more solif weather facts. We brought our own bikes, by car. If travelling in continental Europe you can take your bike on many trains, but unfortunately still not on the fast, long instance trains. Normal road bike gears are fine in general, but for the steepest part of the pass it was nice with a climbing gear, mainly to be able to go slow without being totally exhausted.

Your video inspire me to take same journey from Inssbruck to Venice. So, I am planing to take same journey with my brompton bike coming June. But according to my search for detail route including googling, all of them is guiding me to follow different route from what you took zig zag huphill to reach Nauders(Reschpass). For me, it looks that the route suggested by goolge map is reletavely easier than zigzag uphill you took. Was there any reason why you took zigzag uphill ?

Thanks! It was early September and very, very dry. Lowest temp 10C in the morning in the highest peak, 30C in the low land.

@@MrLeszqo Sounds good :) Yes, September was nice. We started in Innsbruck and it took 10 days to Venice. We didn't go the same way back, but t may take a bit longer as the climb is longer from east to west. Have a great trip!

It was early September and indeed summer in Italy with afternoon temperatures close to 30C.

What bag are you using on your rear rack? Nice video!

Thanks! The bag is a modified, waterproof Ortlieb Velocity back pack. I have attached a MIK plate (www.mik-click.com) and added extra padding on the back and changed the shoulder straps. The MIK plate clicks on to my rack (also Ortlieb) and the straps are thin enough to be folded under a cover. I couldn’t find an easily detatchable rackpak over 20 litres, so this solution has worked nicely for many trips.

Good job. Your work is like Gianni Filippini's. Good video and minimum dialogue. Rick Steve's dialogue is tolerable because he actually has something prepared, intelligent and relevant. Most of the other? Less so. It tends in the direction of a subjective gurgle with an emphasis on banal observations and commentary that's a distraction to what I'm really interested in - what would it be like to cycle through new lands.
