Finally, another long video. I don't know what it is about the long ones but long watching them. Haven't been on river Des Peres greenway since it connected to Jefferson barrack's. Thanks for showing me.

Hi BB, just to add that popping the ganglion cyst did not involve piercing or breaking the skin. Pressing really hard on it against bone, the cyst pops and releases its (synovial?) fluid internally, beneath the skin, and so poses no risk of infection (according to the Doc). Relief was pretty much immediate, until it steadily grew back. For me, it was a case of some pain/discomfort but mostly cosmetic reasons that made me want rid of it. The Doc put me off having surgery because it carries risks with all those nerves and tendons that crowd the wrist. Hope you get yours sorted or live with it. Keep the videos coming...

Where is the video part onwards from 10:39 min, a part is missing until you get to the brigde way ahead in the route ?

Jump cut past a slow part. There are a few other jump cuts in the video where I'm not talking to the camera and just waiting for something. I try to keep the pace of my videos moving along.

Right at 24:40 and again at 26:58 I think you rode right past the turn to continue on the Mississippi Greenway...I'd have been asking myself where did those other cyclists come from? No bike tracks along the train tracks...hmmm. Perhaps you discovered it on the way back; I haven't gotten that far yet....ha ha! You found it sooner than I thought!

Hey BikeBlogger i have the same exact problem you described I even have the bump in the same spot i went to a doctor to get it diagnosed and was told it was a ganglion cyst. I developed mine from constant impacts when i used to do martial arts Here's a tip that helps me when it get aggravated, as soon as it starts getting sore put a brace on it with icy hot overnight. Oh and try doing wrist strengthening exercises i noticed a huge difference from that as well just don't go overboard i like i have in the past GOOD LUCK! :)

Thanks for the tips Divinity Bloom! I've been using a brace. I need to do those wrist strengthening exercises.

Hey Bike Blogger, love these longer videos. Thanks! Glad you aren't too afraid to take some of those rough roads and I'd love to see you tackle more of them without being so trepidatious. Ever consider some larger tires (or is it possible with the Wabi?), like a 26mm or larger?
@solitarycyclist10167 жыл бұрын
That thing on your wrist looks just like a ganglion cyst that I had about 20 years ago. The symptoms you describe are pretty much what I remember mine felt like. I went to Dr and he popped it by squashing it very hard against the bony bits on the back of my wrist. About a month or so afterwards, it returned. So, I popped it myself and again it returned. I must have done this about 10 times before (touch wood) it finally gave up and didn't return. Sometimes it was really difficult to pop but I doggedly persevered.
@BikeBlogger7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't want to do that before first seeing a doc and finding out what it really is. I figure doing it myself might cause an infection or something too so I'll persevere until it gets better or I can't take it anymore.

Oh, for a second there I got really amped because I read Jefferson City, but then I saw I'd only transposed the words. Then I realized you're not even really equipped anymore for a gravel trail ride so does that mean those sorts of rides are OUT or would you consider renting a gravel bike or something to eventually continue your sortof promise to ride more of the Katy?
@BikeBlogger7 жыл бұрын
I'd definitely ride the Katy trail again. But you are right I don't have the ideal bike for it anymore. I do 95% of my riding on the street.

Have you ever considered using a hybrid bike for rougher riding?

His name is Speed and a single speed is all he needs! Ya, he's had more versatile bikes but sold them or lets other family members use them or what not.

Nice video, thinking about getting me a camera and doing the same thing. I know how you fill about your wrist, I am going through the same thing. On the 4th of July, I fell off my road bike riding on a cobblestone road that had some moss on it and it took the tires right from under me and I was still clipped into my pedals and all of my weight fell on my left shoulder, walked away with just a slight crack in my elbow and pain in my wrist. Unfortunately can't ride my bike on the streets yet, but I do ride it on my trainer at home to keep my cardio going. Keep up the good work and be carful out there.

I used to have one of those bumps. It was weird because it started on one wrist and then moved to the other. Eventually it just went away on its own after I started ridding my bike more. I haven't had it for years now. My suggestion to you would be to wear some sort of wrist brace to limit your movement. It helped with me and I hope that it helps with you.

After 3 years the connector near river city is actually worse now, but now due to covid us bikers can use the entire road over the train tracks due to the casino being closed. I made the same mistakes and got lost just like you. They really need to put some work in and finish it up.

I would love to try some mountain bike with you sometime. This trail looks like it would be awesome to try out. I have tried mountain biking one before at Castlewood in Ballwin and I loved it. Would you be willing to try this trail again?

Unfortunately I'm off the bike for the time being and no longer have a mountain bike. I need to rest my wrist and that's why the videos have been late coming out. Hope to be better in the near future. :)

I hope so as well. Also, what happened to the mountain bike? You should totally get another one and explore other mountain bike trails. I would totally watch those.

Have you ever been chased or attacked by a dog ?
@BikeBlogger7 жыл бұрын
I have been chased on a bike, but not attacked. Funny/scary story, I've been chased on foot too but i had a crowbar in hand and wasn't afraid to use it - luckily the owner called the dog back. No, I wasn't trying to break into someone's bike garage. lol
