There's no discussion, any type of bike (in a corner setup) will lose because of the down force and the extra tire thickness (IE grip). IN a drag race type, with a tricked out naked bike, i think you could take the F1 car.

But the comparison is still shitty. You cant buy a F1 car. A Superbike ist nearly like you can buy. The correct comparison would be F1 vs Moto GP or GT3 vs. Superbike or something like that. Moto GP bikes have nearly 300hp, of course there would be a difference. A F1 car has nothing to do with a normal car you can buy.

That's a road bike, it's registered. The F1 can't even poke its head off the circuit. They chose a car circuit, how about cadwell Park or Thruxton? But goes to show, a motorcycle is quicker for the money. Requires a different skill set to ride and ride well.

The motoGP Bike will definitely accelerate faster, because of how light it is. But it’s definitely miles behind around a circuit. An F1 car produces so much downforce, and has an incredibly high cornering speed. They pull 6 G’s around a high speed corner, which a bike would get dusted on. It’s quick in a straight line, but lap times would show the difference.

Really it's not about the cc or the power, BHP to weight ratios or the torque it's about two entirely different species of machine designed to go as fast as possible. It's not about the drivers or riders as they can only get out of the machine as much speed as is humanly and mechanically possible It's just that more could be gotten out of the mechanics and physics of a high performance racing car and less out of the power of a motorcycle. They appear pretty equal in top speed. I think it was says it all when on one corner/ bend the car can reach speeds some 30 or 40 mph faster than the bike. Its braking and cornering dynamics are much greater and as said with the use of downforce keeping the car planted its obvious who was going to be the fastest. Both are winners, there are no losers here, the match was fair and equally planned ahead. Well done to both.

I can tell, it would not be much closer. MotoGP bikes are 1-3 seconds a lap faster, than Superbikes. Superbikes are 3 secs faster than stock-bikes and the same road-legal bike version of the stock-bike is hardly slower. Where the difference between a Formula one car and a Touring car is enormous and the difference between a touring car and the it's road-legal version is again enormous.

I really can't understand when a person say a bike would beat a F1 car??? First of all no matter how much power the bike has; it can't put the power down within the first part of the race. the bike front wheel would come up off the ground. The F1 car on the other hand, within a few second after the start, can put full power down because it's on 4 wheels and the downforce kicks in. It's all about dynamics ! f1 car wins. but the modded 919 hybrid was faster, than a f1 car, but was of course outside of the lmp1 regulations. the f1 car is just lighter and has more downforce. The thing is, that they are not allowed to run current cars, that are way faster, than these 2009-2013 cars you see all the time at the events.

F1 cars have aprox. equal power, but are lighter and have more downforce. It's btw the exact same track layout. Track conditions can not make up 10 seconds.

What I will say, an F1 car will always beat a bike, however it was by no means a fair test. A multi million pound car vs £30-40k bike ridden by a road rider, not a track rider

What difference would it make? a F1 car is 40 seconds a lap quicker than marc marques around Silverstone so a car will always win. A GT3 car is also quicker than a moto gp bike around Silverstone. A bike takes bigger balls granted but even on the road i'm having to brake and go a lot slower around corners if a bike is in front of me.

For all the hurt bikers that think a bike is quicker than a car show us the proof. A Subaru went round the isle of man tt only averaging 3mph slower than the quickest bikes and that is made of mainly straight roads with a lot of flat out corners. A car will always be quicker than a bike around a circuit and on the road from my experience with racing bikers they just hold me up in the corners.

Rider makes all the difference really and of course the road, track etc, I've had a play with a few genuinely fast cars, 458s, GTRs etc, while fast they've not kept up when really pushing on. Again though its different of every rider and driver. In regards to this F1 vs the BMW that guys on, it was only ever going to end one way, it's the advantages of having 4 wheels, big power, big aero and big brakes. Good fun to watch though.

The roads around me are very tight twisty roads that's would require bigger balls than mine to go fast on a bike than in a car sure but you still get the bikers that try from time to time. On the straights a bike wins but a car more than makes up for it in corners and braking to make a car faster. My DC2 has a skunk 2 inlet manifold, a skunk 2 alpha series header a spoon n2 exhaust, decat, oversize injectors, a high pressure fuel rail. HondR (a honda tuning company) say with that they would be surprised if it's 250bhp but I have a dyno printout to prove it is and the torque and wheel hp match what they would expect so they said fair enough. My suspension is bc coilovers, skunk 2 lower arms, skunk 2 camber arms front and rear and ive stripped approx. 40 kg from factory weight. The brakes are 4 pot calipers with 300mm front discs. Its slightly quicker than a evo 10 fq 330 in a straight line so it defo has serious power to weight ratio. Im not saying a 1000cc bike wouldn't destroy me but a 600 I can keep up with and go quicker around corners. The cars you mention are quicker than a bike around a track also, just look at a gt3 car. Quicker than a moto gp bike and rider.

Depends on the track really, you'll find most superbikes, superstock or stuff like Motogp bikes can hammer most cars, places like Laguna Seca, even hyper cars, like the P1, 918 etc are vastly slower than times set by bikes, around 1:30 for the cars and 1:22 for the bikes. Not that I disagree with you though, a well sorted car can out perform bikes in the corners and theres not much a F1 car isn't going to destroy.

In my eyes, it should be a MOTO GP bike as the F1 car is at the top of the sport, where as the bike is probably the same as british superbike spec. Then i think the bike would win if it was a MOTO GP bike. Just my opinion 😂

These race courses favor the car. There is a bike race course here in CA. It's more narrow and lots of tight turns with less straight ways. I think the car would have a big disadvantage.

Tight corners and fewer straight away's give the F1 car even more advantage. Braking and cornering is where the car is much faster
