I would love to try this in the States. It seems like it could be a bit safer and somewhat older fit adult friendly than either street bike riding or regular dirt riding, for those of us that are a bit scared of the really high speed and danger on the streets or dirt tracks.

I just ordered FIM trials indoor videos off eBay and it says it's coming from Kent. haha. anyway the key to trials is never give up it can be really frustrating at times. I have plenty of moments where I would look up at the sky and scream because I couldn't make a rock lol

must be an older wiser person thingy because now that im older I decided to buy a Trials bike and im finding out you can have a lot of fun with it in a very small area like the back yard, and now im wondering why I never decided to take it up much earlier in my life its demands you to become a better rider literally overnight and clutch, throttle and brake control improve every time i kick a leg over it

maybe to boost confidence, after all it's just pure fun. but then, since there had a go in a muddy trail you might expect a front or rear wheel slide so some trick would come handy were needed.

You obviously weren't listening. It was a specific exercise to give road bike riders more front end control to take back to the road. I know that riding mx bikes has helped me hugely with my road riding when the bike slides.

No age limit. As long as you're capable of riding a bike. Although if you want to compete i think you need a 125 or below if you're under 16.

Trials riders prefer open face helmets for the extra air flow and visibility. Since you are going slow for the most part crashes are just falling over until you get into upper classes. It's ultimately the riders decision and what they are comfortable with. I hope that answers your question.

They are proper helmets. You don't have to wear a open face helmet its down the the riders preferences. Some riders prefer to have an open face helmet as it increases your visibility, you need to be aware of your surrounding in trials, it's slow paced and usually safe.

Yeah, but, if I hit my mouth, and almost lost teeth, wouldn't you learn your lesson and take precautions? Like i saw a youtube skater end up in hospital, and still refused to wear a helmet because it "looks dumb".

It's a risk management thing. Speeds are very slow in trials compared to all other forms of motor sports so the risk of losing your teeth is reduced. Also, the open face helmet gives you a much better field of vision for this stuff - very important as things get more challenging. And it helps keep you cool (trials is very physically demanding), and allows for a more social experience.

It is because you have better sight with a haf face helmet. and in trial it's not so dangerous falling, because usually you do not have that high speed so it's no big deal with an open helmet :)

We're just trying to show biking in a positive way and making it as inclusive as we can. Girls have come up to Suzy at motorcycle live after seeing this vid and told her how inspired they were to try it. Anyway, sorry you don't like it.
