Anything ibis does is spot on...ill never give up my hd3...it fits the rocky root filled trails I ride perfect..and as far as 27.5 goes it was never gone..and in my area..guys that went 29 are getting their 27.5 bikes back..

I rode with Scot Nichol and his pals, Snap, Major Tom, etc.. around Sebastopol & Freestone back when Mag 20s were a new thing and he and most of the guys rode the phat Ritchey 2.35" on 26", 25mm rims and we loved it.

Why is there still such a stigma with you guys towards 27.5 wheels? It's almost like you're afraid to confess how fun they can be. I'm glad you kind of admitted that in this video. Anyway, I love my Mojo 3 and can't wait to demo the M4. Looks fantastic.

Does someone know whether they fixed the upper shock bolt nut issues. I had 3 ibis frames in the shop this year with rotating nuts in the frame. There was no way you could remove the shock from the frame. You have to drill the nut out of the frame and glue a new one back in. When I talked to the guys at ibis it seemed like this is an issue that happens on a lot of frames they were very helpful though and promised to send a new front triangle if the removal had failed. Luckily I have steady hands 🦾
@koopatrpa4 жыл бұрын
Had the same happen on one of my Ibis's. Had them replace the threaded insert on warranty. Turn around was within 7 days (to/from bike shop). So even though its wasn't good that it happened, the fix was quick. That has been my experience with anything from Ibis. Always a courteous, fast response. I asked them what size the yoke bushing o-rings are because i found one damaged during a winter rebuild. Now i have a lifetime supply because the insisted on sending me replacements.

27.5 isn't shrinking amongst riders. Its still the most popular size in most areas.

Don’t know about that, most riders are heading towards 29ers, hence the increasing focus on them
@T-ROF4 жыл бұрын
@@oreoswithasideofmilk9703 I'd agree that the marketing is pushing people to 29 - which is too bad - I've gone back and forth between the 2 wheel sizes and I'm going to stick with 27.5 as long as I can. 29ers are fine, but 27.5 just feels better to me (YMMV)

@@T-ROF I agree, its all about marketing, and what the companies want to have in their warehouse. Two wheel sizes probably take up too much space so they rather push one size.

@@oreoswithasideofmilk9703 I've seen countless polls in magazines, Twitter, Facebook, and others, and 27.5 is far and away the preferred size. I do agree that we are all riding, but I shouldn't be forced into riding something I don't like.

I have an M4. I had a V1 Ripmo before that. IMHO, they're both fun bikes, but Ripmo needs to be going a little faster to get full benefits and fun factor. M4 is fun at any speed, even slow. But it is more than just a fun "play bike". It's light (2lbs lighter than my Ripmo) but rides BIG and is incredibly fast, stable, and inspires confidence even in big chunk and chatter. I didn't really notice a change in wheels size and any preconceived notions of 27.5 vs. 29er quickly evaporated. I see no real reason to get a Ripmo/Ripley over an M4 or vise versa. All incredible bikes. Just depends on your riding style.

please stop with the big tires suck business. This ain'ta fatbike. 2.4 to 2.6 is 0.1" per side - that makes very little difference in vagueness, tire rolling or whatever. Add a few more PSI and any of that goes away. Bigger tires hold the line through rougher, rockier terrain better as well
