The BMW R18 unquestionably beautiful motorcycle which has all the design cues of a motorcycle that can trace its heritage all the way back to 1936 and the R5. I agree that it lacks the performance chops that have made modern BMWs what they are however in my opinion BMW just nailed it & I would happily say that it's a fantastic replacement for my 2006 Suzuki Boulevard m109r.

Never been a cruiser guy, but i did have a Norton P11A in the 70's that was kind of mini cruiser ish, and I currently have a 2001 Moto Guzzi California bagger as my fourth bike (not the fourth bike I've owned, but the fourth of my current bikes). Of the new cruisers (valuing handling as i do) i liked the Scout i road a few years back, and I've always had a soft spot for the Virago, so the Bolt is interesting. With most Harley's, the first corner i come to I'm dragging something (usually something solid, and chromed)

@@johnpaulgarzaniti5065 Hey John. Yeah the Rocket 3 is a large bike but is in no way ponderous! Take one out in Sports Mode through some twisties and you'll be pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of smaller bikes that are less nimble and responsive. It's a beautifully balanced machine with plenty of power to match it's size. Makes a lot of other Cruisers seem sadly underpowered. There's a reason people are calling it the Harley Killer!!

You really should have included on your list the T 120 Triumph Bonneville. I just purchased a T 120 Triumph Bonneville. I'm looking forward to delivery on Friday. I didn’t seriously consider the other bikes on this list, other than the Vulcan S which I once owned and found to be an excellent value based on its ergonomics and its price given its power delivery. Bikes on this list are dramatically less expensive than the T 120 Triumph Bonneville but deliver dramatically less power or are dramatically more expensive without delivering commensurately more power, the Triumph Bobber included.
