Oh that was epic - I crossed the Alps by bike a few years back and also couldn’t avoid the busy roads - brought back so many memories. Happy NewYear - you are both doing really well 😊

Hi still following you and I am glad you've reached that hotel given how dangerous those tunnels looked. This adventure so far hasn't been easy but given your positivity you've overcome the problems you have had. I am just hoping you can now buy a tent at a reasonable price. Happy New Year to you both. I really think countries should invest in safe infrastructure for bicycle tourists. It's becoming more popular every year and it would happen even faster if it was safer. Sure it can cost a lot of money in some places to put in a bike lane or trail but unlike roads they don't require much maintenance. Bike tourists eat a lot, we stay in hotels, we go to tourist sites and even buy souvenirs if they aren't too heavy.😂 Throw us a bone, it's an investment.
